Prof. Ransford Gyampo, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), has strongly refuted allegations being circulated by some New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters.
He dismissed the allegations of financial mismanagement at the GSA as a baseless and desperate attempt to damage his reputation through falsehoods and propaganda.
In a firm response, Prof. Gyampo urged the public to disregard these accusations, emphasizing his commitment to his duties.
“Folks, I have seen a desperate attempt by the NPP foot soldiers to wage concerted attacks on me using lies and propaganda. Please ignore the lies. I won’t do anything untoward. I remain focused. But I’ll fix them ALL THE TIME!”
Prof. Ransford Gyampo
Prof. Gyampo firmly dismissed the allegations against him, clarifying that claims about his supposed extravagant purchases and mass dismissals were entirely false.
He emphasized that he had not acquired “any massaging chair” for his office, compelled the procurement of a new Land Cruiser, or terminated the contracts of 30 employees hired between 2017 and 2023.

Rejecting these accusations as baseless fabrications, he reaffirmed his commitment to staying focused on his responsibilities.
He also took aim at those spreading misinformation, questioning their grasp of basic facts regarding the distinction between the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA) and the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA).
He clarified that while the GMA had revoked 30 appointments, the GSA had only revoked nine, both actions taken in adherence to government directives on post-December 7 recruitments.
Expressing frustration over the lack of accuracy in public discourse, he criticized the individuals behind the false claims, suggesting that despite their education, they had failed to grasp these fundamental differences.
A Strong Warning To Critics
Addressing his critics head-on, Prof. Ransford Gyampo issued a firm warning that he would not relent in his efforts to expose fraudulent dealings and hold those in power accountable.

He reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the nation’s interests, vowing to challenge any corrupt practices that undermine good governance.
Emphasizing his resolve, he made it clear that he and like-minded individuals would remain vigilant in scrutinizing government contracts and policies to prevent those he considers unqualified from ever returning to positions of authority.
Accordingly, he expressed his unwavering stance against political incompetence and corruption.
“They [the opposition NPP] say I made them lose the 2024 elections, so they will keep attacking me. If I am that powerful to kick them out of power, then I would be more powerful in keeping them in opposition, now that they don’t have power. I’m unattackable.”
Prof. Ransford Gyampo
Prof. Ransford Gyampo, known for his outspoken stance on national issues, reaffirmed his commitment to speaking truth to power, undeterred by political pressure or intimidation.
He emphasized that he has faced numerous challenges in the past and has emerged even more resolute in his convictions.
Dismissing any notion that he could be silenced, he described such assumptions as naïve and misguided, asserting that his experiences have only strengthened his resolve.
Having weathered intense scrutiny and obstacles without wavering, he declared that no amount of political maneuvering or threats could weaken his determination to advocate for accountability and good governance.

His comments come amid increasing political tension, with various stakeholders questioning government appointments and policies.
While the attack on the GSA by the opposition continues, Prof. Gyampo remains resolute in his stance against what he perceives as unjustified attacks from the NPP.
As Ghana continues to grapple with its evolving political landscape, Prof. Gyampo’s remarks contribute to the broader national conversation on governance, accountability, and the strategic maneuvering of political actors.
His outspoken stance has sparked debate, raising critical questions about transparency and leadership. Whether his critics within the NPP will continue to challenge him or choose to retreat in the face of his unwavering resolve remains uncertain.
However, his comments have undeniably intensified discussions on the role of independent voices in shaping Ghana’s democratic process.
