I Am The Best To Lead NPP To Victory In Election 2024- Kennedy Agyapong

Rumours that I’m Stepping Down From NPP Flagbearship Race False – Kennedy Agyepong

The Assin Central Member of Parliament, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong has claimed that he is the best among the four presidential candidates to lead the New Patriotic Party to win the December 7 2024 Election.

According to the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, it would be a grievous mistake for the party to elect any candidate aside from him at the November 4 National Delegate Conference.

He believes he is the only candidate who could help the party escape opposition in the 2024 December 7 General Election as he is best fit to lead the party to win the 2024 Election.

“I am boldly and confidently telling you today that if you vote and make the mistake of not to vote for Ken Agyapong, the opposition is just staring at you because Ghanaians have decided”.

NPP Lost the 2024 Election In 2022

The Assin Central legislator claims that the ruling New Patriotic Party lost the 2024 elections in 2022 as a result of Ghanaians’ self-advising regarding issues like the weakening of the cedi against the US dollar, changes to bond dividends, and haircuts on pension funds, among other things.

“In the 2024 elections that we are going to, NPP lost that election in 2022. Why? When the Cedi dropped and businessmen to tomato sellers lost monies, Ghanaians decided. When the middle class had bonds taken for 15 years, they decided. When pensioners lost monies, they decided”.

Mr Agyapong noted that anytime Ghanaians do not talk and get too quiet about the state of the affairs of the country, then they have made decisions already.

The Assin Central Member of Parliament made this statement on Saturday, September 16 when he addressed hundreds of supporters after a health walk at Ayi Mensah in the Greater Accra Region which was dubbed ‘Showdown Unity Walk’. The exercise was held to rally support for Mr.  Kennedy Agyapong who is hoping to lead the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 Election as its flagbearer.

In addressing the crowds Mr. Kennedy Agyapong emphasized that if there is any candidate that Ghanaians are ready to vote for in the New Patriotic Party then it is him as he has the best track record of employing many Ghanaians.

“Ghanaians are willing to give Hon Ken Agyapong the opportunity to lead this country because as an ordinary member, companies that I have established, the number of Ghanaians that I have employed, my good deeds from my own pockets, Ghanaians are saying, if you want a genuine politician, who is philanthropic and has love and sympathy for his country, it is Hon Ken Agyapong”.

He also noted that Ghanaians have tried lawyers, soldiers and other professionals as leaders and it is time to try a businessman.

He believed the outcome of the party’s Super Delegate Congress in August 26 cannot be generalized to reflect the outcome of the November 4 National Delegate Conference as many of the delegates in the Super Delegate Congress were intimidated to vote in the manner they did.

In concluding his speech at the event, Mr Kennedy Agyapong thanked the delegates of the party for the opportunity offered to him to participate in the main presidential primaries and charged all his supporters to work tirelessly to secure victory for him on November 4.

Many political analysts have suggested that the New Patriotic Party presidential race is now being keenly contested by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Ohene Agyapong after the withdrawal of the former Minister of Trade and Industry and four-time candidate, Mr Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen.

The New Patriotic Party’s National Delegates Conference, which will choose its flagbearer for the 2024 General Elections, is scheduled to take place on November 4 2023.
