Madam Humu Dilley Saeed, Kennedy Agyapog’s agent, has described the struggle she underwent in the North East Region, during the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) recently concluded Super Delegates Conference on Saturday.
She revealed that Mumuni M. Nurudeen, the North East Regional Youth Organizer for the NPP, displayed his ballot to the delegates after casting it, which caused controversy because the election’s rules forbid such behavior.
Madam Dilley Saeed re-counted how her life was put in risk, after voicing her displeasure over the presentation of votes by the North East Regional Youth Organizer during the voting at the Nalerigu Senior High School dining hall.
When Humu Dilley Saeed protested to certain electoral officials about the behavior of the Regional Youth Organizer, she claimed that she received threats. She added that it took the help of a security officer, in order for her to return to her hostel and avoid any potential attack.
“The confusion began when the [North East] Regional Youth Organizer showed his ballot after voting, that is when Alan’s agent confronted him about it because it is not allowed. I also realized that was wrong, so I had to alert the election officials about it. When I was coming out, the exit entrance had been locked, and that was when I realized the place was not safe.
“The police were behind the gate so, they asked me to open it from a certain point, and when I did, it opened. When I came out, I told the people around what is happening is not right because they were showing ballots. They [electoral officials] weren’t happy with my complaints, so they started pushing me, I fell and they started issuing threats. I asked if Nalerigu was a lion’s den or a pool of crocodiles.”

She also mentioned that a TV3 journalist had been present and had been using a phone to film the incident, but the phone was destroyed in the melee. She stated that as she began to run, a security guard riding a motorcycle approached her, which made her leap unto the bike, rode directly to her hotel, and locked herself in her room.
On Saturday, August 26, 2023, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) held its Special Delegates Conference. It was a calm election. However, there are rumors that certain polling stations had documented violent situations.
Kwakye Fosu Shows Interest In Bawumia’s Message To Delegates
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a former Deputy Minister of Information, is interested in the message Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will deliver to NPP delegates as part of his bid to be chosen as the party’s flagbearer.
As the leader of the Economic Management Team (EMT), the Vice President, in the opinion of Kwakye Ofosu, has put the people through tremendous economic sufferings and will not have any encouraging words for them.
He made these remarks in relation to the NPP’s just concluded Super Delegates Conference, which was held last Saturday, August 26.
In a tweet, Kwakye Ofosu said; “Whichever way you look at it, Bawumia has been a catastrophic failure at the one job he had as Head of the EMT-managing the economy. Exactly what is he going to tell the electorate, who he has plunged into hardships and suffering through hopeless incompetence?”
“As of the Head of the EMT, over 30 different taxes have been introduced since 2017, with more on the way. He told lies in opposition, while grinning from ear to ear. Now those lies have left him totally discredited.”
