The General Secretary of the Conventions People’s Party, Nana Yaa Jantuah has questioned the credibility of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and described him as a failure in his role as the Vice President under the New Patriotic Party administration.
The General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party lamented the poor state of the country’s economy and accused the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of being responsible for such level of hardship imposed on Ghanaians by his administration.
Nana Yaa Jantuah also refuted the argument that the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was not allowed to discharge his mandate as the head of the Economic Management Team due to the dominance of the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta.
“If the Vice President could not manage his people at the Economic Management Team then how can he manage us as a nation? For instance, with the E-levy, there is no doubt at a time he said that it should not be done but it was a transient. What did he do as a leader to stand for us and say to me [as] the Vice President I do not agree with the E-levy? He did not, the e-levy was passed and today even though the proceeds are not as projected, we still pay if you use the Momo. I was expecting the Vice President to have stood firm and said this one I am objecting for the sake of Ghana but he couldn’t and he wants to be our President”.
Nana Yaa Jantuah
Again, Nana Yaa Jantuah, the former Public Relation Officer of the Public Utility Regulatory Commission further bemoaned the Vice President’s total neglect of the residents in the Volta Region who were severely affected by the devastating havoc of the flood occasioned by the Akosombo dam spillage.
She noted that the Vice President who is running to lead the New Patriotic Party and ultimately to contest as the President of Ghana should have demonstrated a high sense of leadership and empathy to the affected victims.
“So many times we have expected him to speak for us yet the Vice President has failed to show up. How many times has he been at the flood areas, only once; he has been doing his things? He was even the President when the incident occurred because the President was not around but he did not go there until the president went there and he also followed and immediately he donated the money he left. Throughout his campaign I have not seen him talk about the flood victims”

Nana Yaa Jantuah Predicts Doom For Dr. Bawumia
Moreover, the Convention Peoples Party’s chief scribe, Nana Yaa Jantuah indicated that the Vice President, Dr Mhamaudu Bawumia is likely going to be betrayed by his close associates.
According to her, she is surprised that the Vice President is only deeply concerned about how he can win the New Patriotic Party November 4 presidential primaries.
“His loss will come from within because you see people are not showing it but there is a lot of resentment around him. I am telling you the people around the Vice President are not being truthful to him. Because some people in the party believe the imposition of the Vice President on the party is not right”.
Nana Yaa Jantuah
Nana Yaa Jantuah thus predicted that the majority of the members in the New Patriotic Party with reservations are likely to vote for another candidate and not the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 general elections.
Meanwhile, Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh has indicated that over 95% of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) legislators believe that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia should be elected the presidential candidate in the November 4 internal elections.
He noted that the Vice President, Dr Mahamaudu Bawumia will win the National Delegate Conference on Saturday, November 4 2023 with an overwhelming endorsement of delegates across the country.
