Koku Acolatse, the chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Adentan Constituency, is enraged at remarks he firmly denies making.
The comments have been attributed to him by Alan Kyerematen, one of the NPP flagbearer hopefuls.
The former trade minister published a piece of artwork with words claimed to the NPP’s Adentan Constituency Chairman endorsing him on his official Twitter account.
“I have started calling him His Excellency already. He has worked hard and selflessly for the party. We will not disappoint him. I commend him for the innovation to bring us together. He is our incoming President. God bless Alan,” the contentious artwork quoted the Adentan Chairman as saying.
Mr. Acolatse, who claimed to have been present at Alan’s cluster durbar on July 5 for four constituencies, including the Adentan Constituency, has voiced disappointment in the Alan Campaign for fabricating a quote for him to deceive the masses.
The Constituency Chairman and his assistants have embossed phony stamps on screenshots of Alan Kyerematen’s Twitter post in an effort to draw attention to the “fake” quotes that have been posted on several NPP WhatsApp platforms.

The Twitter post’s veracity has been questioned as a result of the phony embarrassment’s widespread success on several NPP platforms.
Moreover, aides of the Adenta NPP Chairman have even dared Alan Kyerematen to provide video evidence to support the emphatic statements attributed to Mr. Acolatse, who they passionately dispute.
Other Chairmen who were likewise cited as endorsing Alan’s candidacy in artworks released by Alan have similarly denied making such statements on various NPP venues.
No Derogatory Comments Can Be Found Against Alan Kyerematen
However, during a campaign event at the UPSA Conference Hall in Madina, Accra, Honorable John Peter Amewu, the Member of Parliament for Hohoe, commended Alan Kyerematen’s impeccable record.
On the second day of Mr. Kyerematen’s “delegates cluster meetings,” Hon. Amewu, who is also the minister for railway development, asked delegates to unite behind Alan in order to protect the party from unwelcome personal attacks on their Presidential candidate by the NDC.
The occasion provided NPP representatives from Adenta, Madina, and Shai Osu Doku with a forum to constructively discuss Hon Kyerematen’s goals for the party and the country as a whole with the front-runner in the race for the party’s flagbearer.
In order to combat upcoming NDC propaganda that could harm the NPP’s chances in the 2024 elections, Hon. Amewu urged NPP delegates to support the candidacy of the former Minister of Trade and Industry.
Speaking to the delegates, he asserted that the NDC’s inability to uncover any damaging information against Hon Kyerematen was sufficient justification for the party’s delegates to support him.
In order to succeed in “breaking the 8,” he urged the party apparatus to look beyond the internal primaries and into the greater conflict with the NDC.
Additionally, Alan Kyerematen, the flagbearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), urged party members to support him for President because he had the best chance of doing so in 2024.
The seasoned politician told party delegates that his experience in both the party and the government made him the best flagbearer candidate out of all the other candidates.
The former trade and industry minister used his pioneering work on the 1D1F program and Presidential Special Initiatives as examples of the change he could bring to the country if given the go-ahead. The industry expert also listed his immaculate reputation in public life and his work ethic as other characteristics that set him apart from the competition.
