A group of Constituency Executives of the New Patriotic Party in the Asante Akyem North has petitioned the leadership of the New Patriotic Party to take punitive sanctions against the incumbent Member of Parliament, Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi for alleged non-party conduct.
In a petition written by the Constituency Secretary, Williams Aboagye Boateng and addressed to the National Elections Committee (NEC) of the New Patriotic Party, the group accused the incumbent Member of Parliament, Honorable Andy Appiah Kubi of his deliberate refusal to work with the various executives in the Asante Akyem North Constituency.
According to William Aboagye Boateng, the Constituency Secretary for the Asante Akyem North, while it is expected of Members of Parliament to maintain a close working relationship with the party’s executives to ensure efficient party organization and effective representation of the constituents’ interests, the Honorable Andy Appiah Kubi has failed to demonstrate that he could work with his constituency executives.
“We, the undersigned Constituency Executive Committee members and concerned citizens of Asante Akyem North write this petition to bring to your attention the significant concerns regarding the conduct and performance of Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi, who is seeking re-election as the New Patriotic Party’s candidate for the upcoming elections”.
