EC to rerun Ablekuma North

Elections In Ghana

A recent survey by Global InfoAnalytics in the Ablekuma Central and Weija Gbawe constituencies has uncovered a striking shift in voter preferences, indicating a notable change in the political landscape.

According to Global InfoAnalytics compared to the 2020 election, the poll shows a dramatic change in voting preferences among constituents in these two Greater Accra region areas.

“The poll shows John Dramani Mahama (JDM) leads in Ablekuma Central with 63% of the votes, while Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB) attracts, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen (AKK), 1% and Nana Kwame Bediako (NKB), 2%”.

Global InfoAnalytics further revealed that John Mahama emerged victorious in the Ablekuma Central constituency with a narrow margin.

The report indicated that John Mahama secured 51% of the votes, edging out his closest rival, Nana Addo, who garnered nearly 48%.

This outcome, the polling agent stated, highlights the intense competition between the two candidates and suggests a shift in voter sentiment in the region.

The close margin of victory underscores the importance of every vote and sets the stage for a thrilling political landscape in the future.

Furthermore, the poll from Global InfoAnalytics uncovered a seismic shift in voter intentions in the Weija Gbawe constituency.

John Dramani Mahama has taken a commanding lead with 54% of the vote, leaving his closest rival, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, trailing behind with 44%.

Meanwhile, Nana Kwami Bediako lags far behind with a mere 2%. This dramatic turn of events suggests a significant swing in voter sentiment, potentially indicative of a broader trend in the region.

According to Global InfoAnalytics, a historic milestone is within reach if John Dramani Mahama (JDM) succeeds in winning the Weija Gbawe constituency.

This would mark the first time in the constituency’s history that a National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate has emerged victorious, signaling a groundbreaking shift in the region’s political dynamics.

The report highlighted a significant gap in the 2020 election results, where President Nana Addo dominated Weija Gbawe with a substantial 60% of the vote, leaving John Mahama trailing behind with 39%.

NPP Voters Defect To NDC

Global InfoAnalytics’ poll reveals a notable crossover trend in Ablekuma Central, where 20% of previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) voters are now inclined to vote for John Dramani Mahama.

Meanwhile, 2% of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters are planning to defect to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, indicating a smaller but still significant shift in voter allegiance.

“74% of floating voters will vote for JDM and 15% will vote for DMB. In Weija Gbawe, 13% of NPP voters intend to vote for JDM while 2% of NDC will vote for DMB. Among floating voters, 68% intend to vote for JDM while 22% will vote for DMB”.

Global InfoAnalytics

Global InfoAnalytics indicated that the poll revealed incumbent Hon. Dan Abdul-Latif of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leading the Ablekuma Central parliamentary election with 53% of the vote.

The survey revealed that Hon. Dan Abdul-Latif’s closest challenger, Jefferson Sackey of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), trails behind with 36%, while 10% of voters remain undecided.

In a stunning revelation, the latest survey from Global InfoAnalytics also revealed a nail-bitingly close contest in the Weija Gbawe constituency.

Jerry Ahmed Shaib of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is currently leading by a hair’s breadth, with 43% of the vote, while Felix Lamptey of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) trails closely behind with 41%.

The race is statistically tied, with a significant 16% of voters still undecided, leaving the outcome hanging precariously in the balance.

As the election draws near, every vote will count, and the candidates will need to pull out all the stops to sway the undecided voters and claim victory.
