The Management of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has proudly announced the operational commencement of the new terminal at Prempeh I International Airport, Kumasi, scheduled for Monday, July 1, 2024. This significant development marks a pivotal moment in Ghana’s aviation sector, underscoring the country’s commitment to enhancing its infrastructure and positioning itself as a leading aviation hub in West Africa.

In preparation for the transition from the old terminal to the new state-of-the-art facility, GACL, in collaboration with key stakeholders, has meticulously planned a series of subsystem simulations. These will be followed by two full-scale integrated simulations of all processes and systems within the new terminal building.

The simulations are set to take place from June 25, 2024, to June 30, 2024. These exercises aim to ensure that all systems, equipment, and personnel are thoroughly prepared to operate efficiently and effectively, minimizing any potential risks associated with the transfer of operations.
