A prominent member of the Bawumia’s campaign team for the recent flagbearer elections, Nana Akomea, has emphasized that there is a considerable amount of work to be undertaken nationwide by the campaign team of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in preparation for the 2024 general elections.
Nana Akomea stated that the entire country now serves as Dr. Bawumia’s constituency, rendering every corner of the nation vital for their campaign efforts.
He also took the opportunity to commend Mr. Agyapong for his feat in the primaries.
“To say that there is work to be done in the constituencies that Kennedy Agyapong owns is not the full picture. The reality is that work needs to be carried out across the entire country. So, there is no distinction between the constituencies owned by Kennedy Agyapong and others. The primaries are over; now the whole country is Dr. Bawumia’s constituency, and there is work to be done throughout the country.”

Nana Akomea responded to queries about whether the Vice President would need to focus more on the constituencies won by his main rival in the flagbearer election, Kennedy Agyapong. Nana Akomea further explained that Dr. Bawumia would bring his own vision and ideas to the table. While there would be a degree of continuity if Dr. Bawumia wins the 2024 general elections, he stressed that the Vice President would also introduce his unique concepts and priorities.
“He assured the country that he would come up with his own ideas. Of course, there will be continuity; he will build on the foundation laid by President Akufo-Addo. But fundamentally, he will introduce his own vision and ideas.”

Dr. Bawumia, in an address to the nation, invited the youth of Ghana to join him in his quest for the presidency to implement his vision for the country. He emphasized that he has his own vision and priorities, pledging to listen to the concerns of the citizens as they partner in this journey.
