Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, Minister for Zongo and Inner-City development, has intimated that, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is ready and willing to work and as a result, must win the upcoming elections as the nation goes to polls on December 7.
Speaking during a press conference this afternoon, Dr. Abdul-Hamid, urged all Ghanaians to look at the good works of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and retain him by voting for him to continue to do the good works for the people of Ghana.
He said, despite the coronavirus pandemic hindering some of many political activities, the party did their best to reach every door with their campaign message using every platform mainly social media to sell their campaign message.
He revealed that various party pages, executive members pages and even the first lady and the president’s pages were used to send their campaign message across and are confident of victory.
“We are confident that, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be given four more years to do more for our country.”

He further added that, their number on the ballot indicates the position the party will occupy after the elections.
Highlighting on the achievement of the party since their assumption into office, he said that, the country now has an economy that supports the restoration of teacher training allowance, restoration of nursing training allowance, an economy that is smoothly implementing free Senior High school education and as a result have got back thousands of students who would have been roaming back to school and to top it all implement free SHS in a qualitative manner that cannot be comprised.
He further touted that, the current WASSCE results bears testimony to the fact that, free SHS is qualitative adding that, the country has had the best senior high school results in five years.
Touching on economic development with regards to the adverse effect of the pandemic, he posited that, unlike the struggling nature of economies of other nations, Ghana is rebounding faster that as against the anticipation by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
He added that, a research according to Bloomberg showed that, Ghana was one of the first Sub-Saharan countries whose economy has performed better than anticipated and oil prices also slumped.

Acknowledging some of their key players thus far, he indicated that, the second most important plank of the party’s campaign to ensure the NPP must win, is the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, who has been around the country in virtually all the 16 regions selling the campaign message of the NPP.
He also noted that, to ensure that the NPP must win, the first ladies have also been working ardently to ensure that the party’s message and their works over the years with regards to the various interventions in health sector by the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo and programs which has help provide to the poor by the Second lady, Samira Bawumia.
He further urged party members to stay focused on the various campaign messages as they will decide the upcoming elections and watch out for fake stories that will thrown around as we near the elections.
