The Member of Parliament for Ofoase/Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has urged Ghanaians to collectively vote for the Akufo-Addo led administration in the December elections.
According to the Ofoase/Ayirebi MP who doubles as the Minister for Information, individuals who are beneficiaries of the incumbent government’s programs have the opportunity to vote for the team responsible for implementing them.
Speaking at a welcoming ceremony for the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and address to the chief and people of Ayirebi, Mr. Nkrumah buttressed his point by recounting preceding governments which have managed the country’s economy abysmally.
“When you have an administration that as a result of its strong economic management can afford Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, uninterrupted electricity supply, improved NHIS, extensive digitization of public services, free water and electricity during Covid and an effective Covid response program, it is important for all who have benefited from its programs to work to retain it in power.
“The challenge ahead of us is not a challenge for NPP supporters only. All of us who have benefited directly or indirectly from any of these initiatives have an obligation to now sit up and canvass for votes for Nana Akufo-Addo and his MPs to be retained to do more for us. We will not have another opportunity to bring Ghana to this level of growth. The time to seal this is now. So I call on everyone to get involved and work hard to lock this election down one-touch for Ghana to move forward”.
Contrarily, the Information Minister revealed that, the current government has managed the Ghanaian economy quite well and deserves another shot at governance.
“Now is not the time for petty internal party squabbles nor for pains about how a specific personal wish wash not granted. Now is the time to put aside all personal interests and to work to ensure that the collective interest of the Ghanaian are protected. With 4 more for Nana we can be sure that the progress made can be protected and more gains made for more Ghanaians”.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has cut the sod for the construction of a forty (40) bed Municipal Hospital at Kpone, in the Greater Accra Region.
Speaking at a gathering, he stated government has secured funding towards the construction and equipping of twelve (12) hospitals with the associated staff accommodation facilities for hospital workers, and Kpone is one of the beneficiary communities.

The President urged the contactor VAMED Engineering GmbH of Austria to work diligently, and ensure that this project is delivered on time and on budget.
“Niimei, I am delighted and honored by your presence here, and I assure you that this project is a sign of greater things to come for Kpone, and, indeed, for the whole nation. Government’s commitment to the total development of Ghana is absolute”.
