The Member of Parliament for Agona East Constituency in the Central Region, Honorable Queenstar Pokuah Sawyerr in a generous act of support has donated Computer Sets to the Kwasakrom Community in the Agona East Constituency.
According to the legislature, the objective behind her gesture was to assist the community in completing its ICT Laboratory to enhance students’ access to technological resources within the community.
The Member of Parliament for the Agona East Constituency was accompanied by a delegation comprising the Constituency Chairman, Mr Mensah Oscar, Constituency Secretary, Comrade Murtala Mohammed, Constituency Communications Officer, Rock Dery, Constituency Elections Director and among other Constituency Executives,
Furthermore, as part of the Member of Parliament’s commitment to the development of education in her Constituency, Honorable Pokuah Sawyer made a financial donation of GHS 3000 for the completion of the school’s building project in the community.
Addressing the gathering of chiefs and residents after the monetary and computer set donations to the community, the Member of Parliament for Agona East Constituency, Honorable Queenster Pokuah Sawyer stressed on the significance of education and urged all school children to take their studies seriously.
Agona East MP Commits To Support Education In Her Constituency
Moreover, the financial contribution of GHS 3000 Ghana Cedis toward the painting of a school project for the community according to the Member of Parliament demonstrates her holistic approach to supporting education in the various communities in the Agona East Constituency.
She expressed confidence that her kind donations would not only enrich the visual outlook of the school but would also create an environment that promotes learning and creativity.
This commendable effort made by the Member of Parliament would undoubtedly lead to positive implications on teaching and learning activities in the Kwasakrom Community in the Agona East Constituency.
More so, the donation of computer sets will greatly contribute to the establishment of a well-equipped ICT Laboratory, which will provide the students in the community with essential skills and opportunities to enhance and shape their learning experiences.
In addition, the availability of the computer sets will enable students to explore the world of technology, access information, and develop crucial digital skills that are vital for their academic and professional growth and also help bridge the gap in the use of digital divide,
Finally, it is essential to acknowledge the impact of such initiatives on the lives of the students and the community as a whole. Thus, the act of donating laptops and supporting infrastructure projects demonstrates a commitment to investing in the education and future of the young generation.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the National Democratic Congress Youth Working Committee, Okai Mintah has also donated 21 projector sets to the Eastern Regional Secretariat and 20 Constituencies in the region as part of his contribution to ensuring effective Communications in the region.
Mr Okai Mintah, the former Eastern Regional Organizer of the opposition party indicated that the purpose behind his gesture is to support the Communications Team in the region to effectively highlight the significant achievements and projects of the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
According to Mr Okai Mintah, his recent donation only marks the beginning of the bigger plans of providing projector sets to all 275 constituencies across the country.
He thus urged the team to strategically utilize the projectors for outreach activities in community centres, youth programs and other social events to effectively project the various policies of the National Democratic Congress.
The generous contribution by Mr Okai Mintah was made to the region during the party’s maiden Capacity Building and Communications workshop held in Koforidua on November 17 2023.
Present at the training workshop were, Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, National Communications Officer of the NDC, Lawyer Barbra Asamoah, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Stanislav Xeose Dogbe, Special Aide to Former President John Dramani Mahama and Mr Gayheart Mensah Communications Adviser to the Speaker of Parliament among other Regional and Constituencies Executives of the NDC.
