Former President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has announced to the citizens of the state at his Florida estate Mar-a-Lago, that he will be running for President again, in the upcoming 2024 USA Presidential elections.
The speech which lasted for an hour, consisted mainly of issues and stories that Donald Trump has been repeating on stage for some time now, and the people present might have expected something new after the announcement, but according to an editor from an international news cooperation who was present at the event, Trump’s speech felt “strangely flat as compared to his usual rallies.”
However, he vowed to make America great again, and even though he remains popular with the Republican base, he is being blamed for the loss incurred by the Republicans during the midterm elections.
A large number of midterm voters in the recent election rejected candidates who backed Trump’s baseless claims of election fraud in the year 2020, and many of his high-profiled picks for office struggled or lost during the midterm elections.
This means that, if Trump intends to run for president as he stated, he would have to win the Republican party’s nomination, but other people within the party are aspiring to win this nomination, making this a tight competition for Trump.
Trump did not offer any explanation as to why the Republicans performed so poorly in the midterm elections, this had nothing to do with him. The problem- which was paraphrased by Sarah Smith, an editor who was present at the event, is that “voters haven’t realized yet how terrible life is in Joe Biden’s America. But by 2024, Trump said, they will.”
His wife, Melania Trump, joined him on stage shortly at the end of the speech and many other family members, except his son Eric Trump, was absent from the event. Donald Trump asked for the votes and support of the people, saying that “this is not just a campaign, it is a quest to save our country.”
“We will shatter the forces of tyranny and we will unleash the glories of liberty for ourselves, and for our children and for generations yet to come…America’s golden age is just ahead.”

Ivanka Trump Does Not Plan On Being Involved In Politics
Meanwhile, daughter of Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, has issued a statement indicating that, she will not participate in her father’s campaign for the 2024 US Presidential elections.
This shows that she is no longer interested in being involved in political affairs. She was not seen at the event in Florida, where Trump’s big announcement to run for president in the upcoming election in 2024 was made; however she was not the only notable figure who was absent. Trump’s 2020 team was not present as well.
“I love my father very much. This time around, I’m choosing to prioritise my young children and the private life we are creating as a family…I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the politics arena.”
