MINKAH-PREMO & Co law firm records COVID-19 cases

About 12 staff members of MINKAH-PREMO & Co law firm have tested positive for COVID-19. In a statement issued by the law firm, they confirmed that the recorded cases are the results from their last round of testing conducted on Wednesday 1st July 2020 following their first batch of tests conducted on staff in the month of May 2020 which yielded no positive results.

A total of sixty-two (62) members of staff were tested for Covid-19, which unfortunately showed twelve (12) of them having tested positive for the virus.

The firm in a statement said while all those who tested positive have been contacted about their test results with their Covid19 subvention package individually, none of them has showed symptoms and  are all currently in relatively good health and have also been engaged on steps to take following the confirmation of their status.

The firm announced that their next round of testing would fall between the 1st of August and 10th of August 2020 and are assuring all clients, suppliers, partner institutions and the general public of their preparedness in dealing with COVID-19.

Safety measures laid out by MINKAH-PREMO & CO

MINKAH-PREMO & CO has implemented some measures aimed at providing their staff and clients with a conducive, risk-free environment for work and interaction, and to safeguard their health and wellbeing.

Since the first reported case in Ghana, the firm has been proactive in a number of ways through Procurement, deployment and distribution of Veronica buckets, solar-powered hand-washing sinks, alcohol-based hand sanitizers, nose masks, gloves, temperature guns. The firm also has a strict ‘no mask no entry’ policy. Enhanced cleaning and disinfection of the office premises at stipulated intervals throughout the day is also in full force. Cancellation of in-person office meetings and conferences, and the use of online tools such as Zoom video conferencing and Google Meet and Periodic testing of all staff for Covid-19 are the measures currently being implemented at the firm.
