Mahama Lacks Credibility – Nana Akomea

PDS, Agyapa, etc. Vindicates Incorruptible Akufo-Addo – Nana Akomea

Nana Akomea - Managing Director of State Transport Conpany

The Managing Director of the state-owned transport system, State Transport Company (STC), Nana Akomea says, Former President John Dramani Mahama lacks the credibility to command the support of the majority of the citizenry.

According to him, credibility is paramount in appealing to the people of Ghana, a virtue he said Ex. President Mahama lacks.

“Our main challenger, John Mahama doesn’t have the credibility to command the support of the majority of the people of this country.”

Nana Akomea noted that, the former President has the habit of making numerous contradictory statements which dents his credibility and beliefs as an individual.

He made these remarks as he described Mr. Mahama as indecisive in his stance. He indicated that, the Former President strongly opposed some policies of the ruling administration when he was in power, but is now saying he will maintain them and in some cases make them better if voted into office for the second time.

“When I say credibility, I don’t even mean manifesto promises by his party that wasn’t fulfilled, I’m talking about his own beliefs that he communicated to the people of Ghana. When you look at the treatment he is giving to these beliefs, you will hear a lot of contradictory statements.

“An example is the cancellation of payment of trainee allowances which he felt wasn’t needed when he was president and now 4 years later, he comes and says he will do it. These kinds of scenarios create some dissonance in the minds of Ghanaians over what he really stands for.”

The STC boss added that, the NDC flagbearer has continually said he is seeking re-election in order to right the wrongs he made during his tenure in office as President. This statement Nana Akomea describes as empty since Mr. Mahama has not been able to publicly state those mistakes he wants to correct.

“He keeps saying he is going to correct his mistakes, but he hasn’t told Ghanaians what those mistakes were and how he is going to correct them,” he stated

He went on to express his confidence in the Nana Addo led administration and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in winning this year’s elections come December 7.

His certainty of victory, he mentioned, is due to the good work the Nana Addo led administration and the NPP has done in their four years in power.

He emphasized that, Ghanaians will not forget the harsh living condition they were subjected to under the Mahama led administration and the NDC and as such, will not vote them into office to bring those days back.

“I think the question is why Ghanaians are going to opt for us again. The evidence as to why Ghanaians will opt for us is all over the place.”
