Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal, has revealed his plans to sign new artistes in 2021.

In a post sighted on his twitter, the ‘La Hustle’ composer revealed he will sign two artistes in the year ahead.

Medikal was hopeful the signing of these artistes will help as they are ready to give back to back hit songs.

He wrote on Twitter: “Next year I’m signing 2 artistes! A male and a female! We go scatter back to back.”

Medikal who’s arguably one of the hit makers in the Ghanaian music industry is known for supporting fast-rising artists. He’s featured on most of their songs, helping them reach a wider audience.

The ‘AMG Beyond Kontrol’ rapper has been very active in the Ghanaian music scene this year despite the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

If he is envisaging back to back hit songs with his new signees, he probably knows what he is talking about.

Recently, Medikal gifted himself a new house ahead of this year’s Christmas celebration.

Just a few weeks ago, the rapper purchased a brand new Range Rover to add to his fleet of cars.

In a video that was fast trending online, Medikal decided to get his family a 7 bedroom apartment to accommodate them and has shown it off in excitement.

Medikal is gradually becoming one of the richest Ghanaian artiste with people wondering his source of income.

That notwithstanding,  it has not been long when the rapper was  unhappy with news stories on some blogs claiming he has a ‘side chick’ who is expecting his second child.

The rumors come barely six months after welcoming his first Child Island with his wife Fella Makafui.

Medikal who was not enthused with the allegations took a screenshot of the blogger’s post to his Insta story and reigned curses on the blogger saying:

“The blogger circulating this news will die a painful death”.

To prove to his fans and followers that he and Fella have a happy home, he subsequently shared a video of Fella, himself, Dancegod Lloyd and Flowdelly dancing in their home to prove.

His wife also joined him and wrote “You got served 4 !! Ft @dancegodlloyd @amgmedikal @flowdellybyk”.

It is interesting to note that, he adopted the name Medikal because he was fascinated with rapping about doctors, surgeons, medical practitioners and hospitals in general.

He has made a name for himself in the music industry through hard work and his numerous collaboration with successful artists. Apart from his nominations in 2017, he won the best discovery video in the MTN 4Syte Video Award in 2016.

Medikal and Sarkodie had the highest nominations for the 2017 edition of the Ghana Music Awards In 2018.

During this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), his single hit ‘Omo Ada’ won hiplife song of the year. Previous years he won best rapper of the year and hip hop artiste of the year.
