Meanwhile, the Ghanaian rapper has disclosed that he did not invite his bosom friend Shatta Wale to the just-ended Rapperholic concert because of his charges.

Shatta Wale who previously was the MC did not show up for the event this time round to the shock of many patrons and pundits from the industry, but, disclosing the reason behind his absence, Sarkodie said he called him to perform and  Shatta Wale insisted on being paid a whopping  $250,000.

Prior to the concert, there was a lot of talk about how that concert might turn out to be a flop because Sarkodie was charging as high as Ghc10,000 for a table of eight and charging as low as Ghc500 for a single individual who bought a VIP ticket.

However, in the end, that was not the case because the concert which came off at the Accra International Conference Center was a huge success that witnessed many patrons and fans.

The event was graced with performances from the best of Ghanaian musicians including Kweku Flick and many others.

In other news, Sarkordie’s father, Mr.Augustine Owusu Addo has revealed why he chose the name Michael as the English name for his son.

In a short interview at 2020 Rapperholic, Mr. Owusu Addo disclosed that he named his son Micheal because he was a very big fan of the late American pop star, Micheal Jackson.

“As you know, he is called Michael Owusu Addo. I was a very big fan of Michael Jackson so that’s how come I named him Michael. I didn’t know he was going to be great in music as he is now”.

Mr. Owusu added that he didn’t know Sarkodie was going to be a musician and a big one at that and now he’s proud of how far he’s come in the music space.

“When he started, I actually asked him and he said it was just like a hobby but I realized he went on with it, and now, here he is. I am very happy and I pray he does even better”.

When asked about his favorite song from his son, he mentioned “Brighter Day” which featured Obrafour.
