AFCON 2021 Qualifiers: Sierra Leone vs Benin rescheduled

The CAF Organizing Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations has decided to postpone the match between Sierra Leone and Benin.  As a result, CAF has rescheduled the AFCON 2021 qualification match for the next FIFA international window in June 2021. CAF The earlier scheduled the match for 30th March 2021 in Freetown.

The committee made this decision after reviewing official accounts of the incidents that stopped the match from taking place.

The Committee’s rationale to move the dates was based on the need to keep to the international window.  According to a statement from the OC, scheduling the game for the following day was not appropriate. This is because it would affect the players’ scheduled to return to their respective clubs.
