Ghanaian musical artist and producer, Kuami Eugene has come out with an exciting announcement as he is set to release a new song.
Titled ‘Dollar on you’, the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) ‘Artist of the year’ will be releasing this song coming Friday 30th April 2020. He made this disclosure on Twitter where he noted that he is “dropping a big banger” since he has had enough of the features.
Posting the music cover of the song, he wrote: “For a while now I have been doing a lot of features, but finally I’m dropping a banger this coming Friday. #Dollaronyou! We didn’t come here to play”.
Kuami Eugene’s post was well-received per the comments under his post. Some social media users who seem to be fans of the artist mentioned that this announcement has been long overdue since they’ve been waiting for him to release a song. Meanwhile
Others who were pretty much excited about Eugene’s announcement mentioned that they couldn’t wait to listen to the song. Also, some were of the opinion that his song is going to be a “banger” since he is known for producing back-to-back hit songs.

Kuami Eugene’s emergence into the music industry has been a huge;success as he has several hit songs he can boast of. He is also well known to influence songs that he is featured on since most of these songs become hits as well. With this announcement, it seems Kuami Eugene wants to remind his fans that he can still make a solo hit.
That notwithstanding, it can be recalled that Kuami Eugene’s last solo single ‘Open gate’ was released in 2020. The visual of this hit single was one that was highly anticipated by his fans. This is because the video of the song was a star-studded music video as the likes;of Nana Aba Anamoah, Clemento Suarez, and skit comic ‘Made in Ghana’ among others were featured in the video.
Nonetheless, it is worth noting that the video that was;released some few months ago has amassed over six million views on Youtube.
‘Open Gate’ is off his album latest album ‘Son of Africa’. The 14-track album sees features from A-list artists;such as Shatta Wale, Samini, Sarkodie, DJ Mensah, and Obaapa Christy. More so, some other international featured artists include Nigerian rappers Falz and Zlatan, and Eddy Kenzo from Uganda.
