Several netizens have reacted to his post. Most of them, probably fans of Kidi answered that he;should release the song tonight, since the beat of the song indicates that it is going to be a very good one.  Some also were of the opinion that he should release the song on Saturday, 1st may, since his colleague and co-record label signee, Kuami Eugene is releasing his song ‘Dollar on you’, on Friday. Others also mentioned that the song is going to be a hit just because it’s coming from Kidi.

Kidi’s strides in the music industry

Speaking about Kidi’s ‘Golden boy’ album, it can be recalled that he announced the release of the sophomore album just two days after grabbing the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award at the 2021 3Music Awards. According to the ‘Say Cheese’ hitmaker, the album will be released in June this year. Since then, his fans have been patiently anticipating its release.

That aside, KiDi has three body-of-work he can boast of: his first album ‘Sugar’, ‘Golden Boy’ his second album, and an EP, ‘Blue’ in-between the albums.

It is worth noting that, his first album ‘Sugar’ which was released in 2019 won the ‘Album of the year’ at the 2020 edition of the VGMAs, beating Sarkodie, Okyeame Kwame, King Promise, Joe Mettle, Kwesi Arthur, and Nacee to secure the top spot in the category.

Also, his first EP, ‘Blue’, which was released last year won the ‘EP of the Year’ at the just 3Music Awards. Based on this, several people have tipped his ‘Golden boy’ album to also grab an award.

It can also be recalled that Kidi became the talk of the town after he was crowned 3music Awards ‘Artiste of the Year’. The artist has also earned nine nominations ahead of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. More so, he competes for the most coveted award of the night, with the likes of Adina, Diana Hamilton, Sarkodie, Medikal, and his record label colleague Kuami Eugene.
