Chelsea Tayui is set to represent Ghana at the 2021 edition of the Miss Universe International Pageantry show.

The winner of the 2020 edition of Miss Ghana-Universe, Chelsea Tayui is set to represent;Ghana at the 2021 edition of the Miss Universe International Pageantry show.

According to the National Director of Miss Universe Ghana, Mrs. Menaye Donkor Muntari, a unanimous decision between;MALZ Promotions, organizers of the pageant;in Ghana, and Miss Universe International, was taken to privately appoint a representative this year. Meanwhile,. Also.

Mrs. Donkor described the crowned queen, Miss Tayui, as a young;lady who is not only beautiful but one with a heart of gold, pointing out;that, “in the next year, she will be our ambassador to;the world, promoting Ghana”. Also., Meanwhile,.

The announcement comes after a year-and-a-half delay. The organization canceled its 2020 edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  As a result, South Africa’s Zozibini Tunzi, who; was crowned in 2019, has worn the Miss Universe crown longer than anyone.

Seventy-four contestants have been confirmed so far. Meanwhile, some African countries won’t be; contesting due to the pandemic. This includes Nigeria, Angola, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Namibia, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania.

Chelsea Tayui ready to serve her country

Chelsea Tayui who is from the Volta region graduated from DePaul University;with a degree in Communications and Media. She works part-time as the Communications Director for The KJM Foundation- a non-profit;organization that seeks to create a world where every individual has access to basic human needs.

The young Ghanaian Queen started as a volunteer with KJM to bring clean;water to impoverished villages in Ghana before she;contested for Miss Universe Ghana.

It can be recalled that the 25-year-old queen was crowned in a private ceremony;held at the Labadi Beach Hotel, in September 2020. After her crowning, she extended her appreciation to the;organizers of the pageant and the public. She also pledged to wear the crown with honor as she serves the country.

“I am humbled by the trust you have bestowed upon me, and; will wear it with all the honor and dignity that it deserves. I am here to serve”.

It is worth noting that Chelsea cares passionately about autism. She is working on eliminating the stigma of Autism in Ghana;and she is a strong advocate for Early Intervention. She is raising awareness and advocacy for policy;change in the Ghana; education system, so that, such special children can be accommodated;in the school systems. Also,. Also,.
