Social media has been at a state of shock and mixed reactions as news of a 21-year-old level 300 student, Chidinma Adaorah, of the University of Lagos, comes to light on the stabbing of an alleged ‘sugar daddy’ and CEO of Super TV, Michael Ataga.

Following this, several people have taken to social media to share their views on the issue as the death news broke on the internet.

Well, some netizens have accused and tagged the ladies at UNILAG as being “dangerous”. According to them, they all passed through a certain school of violence, and that amounts to the reason why they have very violent behavior.

That notwithstanding, some accused the level 300 student of being “evil” and “a high-end prostitute”. According to them, she has tarnished the image of the school, therefore, she should be punished in full measure.

Meanwhile, some have jumped to the defense of the young lady. They are of the view that it “served the man right” and that he would learn a lesson from it in his next life. According to them, he should have gone home to his wife and children, however, he decided to chase the young girl. They also mentioned that it is because of men like him that some young girls turn into monsters.

Nonetheless, some adviced that it will be best for men to just become polygamist rather than have “side chicks” who will later kill them. Some also cautioned men who are into having affairs with young ladies to put a stop to it since they can end up like Michael Ataga. Some reactions on social media read:

Chidinma Adaorah narrates her side of the story

Chidinma Adaorah, the 21-year-old level 300 student of UNILAG disclosed that she stabbed Super TV CEO, Michael Ataga (her alleged sugar daddy), to death in self-defense.

Chidinma Adaorah revealed this when she was presented by the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu to the command headquarters.

Level 300 student of UNILAG, Chidinma Adarah

“On Sunday, June 13, he asked that I get a place where we can stay. I checked online and sent it to him. He asked me to go check it out, which I did and paid. On Monday, June 14, we were together drinking, smoking and I also went to get food. On Tuesday, June 15, he was making advances at me and I resisted, so, he became violent and later had his way.

“In the afternoon he ordered for smoke, ate and we became high because I also smoked with him even though I was still angry for what he did. So, I was on my own, watching a movie on the couch. He came at me again and I said no because I wasn’t happy with him. I told him that he doesn’t help me but only plays me around. He kept trying to make advances and I was resisting so I had to defend myself.

“At some point, he hit my head on the wall and was choking me. I tried escaping but the door was locked so he pulled me back. I grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed him twice in the neck and threw the knife on the bed. He then tried reaching for the knife so I picked it again and stabbed him the third time”.

Chidinma makes withdrawals from victim’s bank account

Chidinma after murdering her victim, withdrew money from his bank account using his ATM card, which according to her was given to her willingly by him.

“Contrary to a rumor that I collected N5 million from his account, it was only N380,000 I withdrew from his account. I don’t have that kind of money in my account.

“I went home straight without reaching out to anyone. He was the one that gave me his ATM card and pin after I complained that he wasn’t taking care of me. I wanted to use the money I withdrew from his account to pay my fees.
