Step Down and Allow Osofo Kyere Abosom to replace you – Kofi Koranteng to Bawumia

Step Down and Allow Osofo Kyere Abosom to replace you - Kofi Koranteng to Bawumia

Mr. Kofi Koranteng, a 2020 Independent Presidential candidate has condemned Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana for blaming the economic woes of the country on spiritual forces.  He therefore, demanded that Dr Bawumia steps down for his fellow 2020 Presidential candidate of Ghana Union Movement Party (GUM), Mr. Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyere Abosom to take over.

Meanwhile, he has described Dr Bawumia who is also the head of Ghana’s economic team as ineffective and incompetent and incapable of solving the current economic situation in which the country finds itself.

Mr. Kofi Koranteng was retorting to Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s statement where he ascribed the sluggish growth of Ghana’s economy to the manipulation of ‘demons’ and ‘principalities’.

“If you say that it is ‘demons’ and ‘principalities’ that are impeding the growth of the economy and the overall development of the country, then kindly step down and allow Kyere Abosom to replace you because he is known to be capable of fighting demons”.

Mr. Kofi Koranteng

He further suggested that the Vice President doesn’t love this country as he may have claimed and he also stated that competency would have defeated any demon.

“One thing that halts the operation of demons and principalities is competence. You are seeing demons and principalities because you are not competent, not functional and you don’t love this country.”

Mr. Kofi Koranteng

Furthermore, Mr. Koranteng has censured the political leadership in the country and thus, described them as a complete disaster and a failure. Meanwhile, he reiterated that “the devil has no time for the country because the leaders are already working for the devil.”

Nonetheless, Kofi Koranteng declared his preparedness to participate in the forthcoming ‘Fix the Country’ demonstration. He also beseeched the youth and the organisers of the demonstration to turn up in their numbers to help send a strong message to the government that Ghana needs to be fixed.

Meanwhile, “Fix the Country Demonstration” is scheduled to take place on August 4, 2021 in Accra and some key parts of the country.

However, it can be recalled that, Dr. Bawumia, while speaking at the 13th Congregation of University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), stated that there are ‘demons’ and ‘principalities’ working to impede the growth of Ghana’s economy.

“…this is why over the last four years under the leadership of His Excellency Nana Addo, the President, we have been focused on this [digitization]. Some people might be saying oh, Dr Bawumia, you used to talk a lot about the economy, but why now digitization? They don’t see the link that the two are now the same.

“Because you need to build the fundamentals of the economy and building the fundamentals of the economy lies in putting in place that system that promotes transparency and accountability and fight corruption. Although we are working so hard to fix the economy, we are being attacked by demons and principalities all over the place and we need to fight them. We need to win that battle.”

Dr. Bawumia

Meanwhile, some Ghanaians would agree with Mr Koranteng and wonder why in the face of huge borrowing and rising debt stock, Dr Bawumia would still blame unseen spirits and demonic entities for our economic misfortune.
