Ghanaian rappers, Sarkodie and Dee Money are currently trending on Twitter because of an apparent WhatsApp message that has not been responded by Sarkodie.

During the late hours of Wednesday 18th August 2021, Sarkodie shared a WhatsApp conversation between himself and South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest on Twitter.

In the conversation by Sarkodie, Cassper is heard speaking the Twi language, a move that caused Sark to share the conversation on Twitter with the caption:

Rapper, Dee Money, upon seeing the shared WhatsApp conversation, retweeted with the caption;

“Ah, so your WhatsApp ‘dey’ work? Cool.”

Dee Money’s response indicates that he may have sent Sarkodie a message on the social media app and is yet to receive a response.

Now, the ‘Dee Money revelation’ has sparked several conversations online.

While some see nothing wrong with Sarkodie’s actions considering his status and the number of people that text him a day, others have also raised concerns about how poor Sarkodie’s personal communication with his colleagues is. Some even suggested solutions to this problem.

@Opresi wrote: “Imagine waiting for a message from someone bigger than Jay Z then out of nowhere Dee Money sends you a message. Sark actually did well because if it was me, I would have replied WMT”.

@Nyarkoaa wrote: “But seriously, it is high time sark does something about this. The complaints are becoming too much and I think one person on the management team should be set aside to deal with Sark’s texts or messages. But on other hand, when they call or sent text to sark and he does not reply, what do they do?”

@Edbaks also wrote: “But on a real, chale Sark didn’t do well. If it is true that he ignored dee money, then he didn’t do well.”

@Aseidu: “Dee Money ignores people on Instagram, snap, WhatsApp, Tango, Yahoo, and other social platforms. But Sark ignores him and he is vexed. Then the people who text dee money should also vex because he ignores them too”.

Well, it is worth noting that Dee Money isn’t the only artist to have this sort of issue with Sarkodie. This unfortunate incident has been going on for quite some time now and some colleagues have called Sarkodie out over ignoring their texts or calls.

It can be recalled that Ghanaian rapper E.L, Ivorian music legend Freddy Meiway, Nigeria’s Yemi Alade have all one way or the other complained about how Sarkodie does not respond to their calls or texts.

It can also be recalled that just recently, Ayibge Edem complained about how Sarkodie refused to pick his countless calls when he had booked a video shoot with him.

However, Sarkodie in response to this situation in an interview disclosed that even his mother complains of the same issue. According to him, it is not a premeditated act.

Sarkodie explained that he receives several messages daily and as a result, he easily misses out on previous messages especially on whats app. Therefore, he can’t be entirely faulted for such a mishap.
