More so, the law prohibits residents from allowing trees and hedges in their homes or places of work to obstruct streets or footpaths.

Furthermore, the new law also criminalizes riding motorcycles or driving on footpaths, playing loud music, and smoking in undesignated places.

Meanwhile, people who have sighted this latest development have shared mixed views on it.

According to some people, this initiative is a good one as it will help keep the country clean and hygienic especially during this time when there is a pandemic.

Well, others were of the view that the law is too stringent. They explained that some people sometimes unintentionally leave the house without a handkerchief or tissue. Therefore, such laws or bills could be a bit harsh for such people.

Aderonke Ishola who supports the law wrote: “Yes this is very right, I think this should be implemented in every country.  I sometimes sit in a bus and someone will just sneeze and blow the nose using their bare hands then touch money and give it to the mate. Then the mate will use that same money to change”.

Akinola akinjide who is not in support wrote: “Blacks with their black brain. How is this going to help the nation grow when there are better things to take care of”.

Betty Joe also wrote: “This is really funny but also a serious issue. It is actually a good law”

Mr 47 also wrote: “I like this. Blowing your nose in public without tissue or handkerchief is a sign of dirtiness”.

Anon also wrote: “This is very wicked come on, just blowing my nose without a handkerchief you jail me”.
