Ghana Armed Forces to enjoy affordable homes – Access Bank

The Ghana Armed Forces, through a partnership between Access Bank Plc. and Mayfair Estate Limited, will enjoy the luxury of affordable homes on a Mortgage Financing Scheme.

The main aim of this arrangement is to provide needed support to interested officers of the Ghana Armed Forces “to acquire homes at affordable and competitive rates”.

Managing Director (MD) for Access Bank, Olumide Olatunji, pledged on the Bank’s committed support to achieve the conditions under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), during a brief ceremony at the office of the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Thomas Oppong Peprah.

Mr. Olatunji further disclosed that the partnership his outfit has entered with the Ghana Armed Forces will be the genesis of a longstanding relationship between the two organizations.

“As the biggest bank in customer base in Africa, we are well-positioned to meet your banking needs.

“Our range of products are tailored to suit the varied needs of your staff, especially our loan offerings and various card and we are committed to ensuring that we fulfil our part of the terms in this MoU.”

These commitments by the Bank forms part of the Bank’s dedication to offer comprehensive banking to its customers. and delivering on its social mandate.

The ceremony would not have been completed without Mr. Thomas Oppong Peprah, expressing his profound appreciation to Access Bank Plc., for the heroic support and was also hopeful of a mutual continuous beneficial partnership between the two organizations.

“This is going to be a win-win partnership. This support will help our gallant soldiers who work tirelessly to become homeowners, despite the conditions they sometimes find themselves in.

“As I speak with you, there’s a soldier standing under a tree at a checkpoint, working to protect precious lives.

“They must return to a decent place of abode after all the sacrifice. My men and I really appreciate this thoughtful partnership. I believe this is going to attract many Army staff to your Bank.”

Access Bank support Culture Weekend

As part of the Bank’s CSR, the Bank sponsored the recently held “Gallery 1957’s Culture Weekend”.

The week week-long art programme comprised of a gallery visit, art fairs, tour of historic monuments in Accra with exhibitions, presentations.

According to Access Bank’s MD, the Bank is optimistic about the Creative Arts Industry and promised on the Bank’s committed efforts in support of the industry.

“If talent and passion had a home, it would be in Ghana and Africa for that matter. Our Bank is therefore poised to push creative talents in Ghana across Africa and beyond”.

The Bank by Capitalizing on the Culture Weekend “is expected to revive its own online art initiative dubbed ‘iLiveForArt’, which sought to showcase and promote young Ghanaian artistes, scheduled to restart in the fourth quarter of the year”.

The MD also expressed Access Bank Plc. Also “expressed Access Bank’s support to the Army’s Widow’s Fund”.

Mr. Olatunji, further disclosed that the Bank has committed efforts in support of women affairs, which is evident through the Bank’s women-focused ‘W’ initiative.
