One Billion Successful Women Entrepreneurs Worldwide launched

An entrepreneur in her business

Women of Power and Transformation (WOPAT), an international non-Governmental organization has launched a global campaign to mold one billion successful female entrepreneurs by 2030.

WOPAT’s initiative would empower women by offering business advice and consulting them, impacting females and ladies all over the world, providing them with grants, and raising funding for their education.

The overarching purpose of the campaign, according to Professor Michelle Walker-Davis, Founder and Chief Executive of WOPAT, is to establish a healthy atmosphere for women to thrive.

The NGO mentioned that the institution will create a synergy among women to facilitate the easy flow of information and better ways to communicate in order to enhance women’s lives around the world.

“Our mission is to build up our community of women by empowering them in a safe and healthy environment to rise as leaders, to connect globally and support one another mentally, spiritually and economically for the greater good. We’ll create synergy amongst Women as a Call to Action through Meet-Ups.”

WOPAT

Professor Walker-Davis, who doubles as the Managing Partner of Imperial Management Group, a $850 billion grant advancement firm, said at the launch, which was attended by a slew of local leaders and entrepreneurs, that the action plan would use a variety of interventions to help women become successful entrepreneurs.

“We are really looking for organizations that support other businesses to come in with their millions and billions of dollars and we are going to other successful women for support too.”

Professor Walker-Davis

Despite the fact that funds are now unavailable, the business mogul told women that network organizations, led by women such as Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markel, will be used to obtain grants.

Optimism on getting funding

Professor Walker-Davis expressed confidence about the organization’s chances of receiving the necessary financing to keep it running and guarantee that women are empowered around the world.

“I know that there is $850,000 in free money out there so I’m going to work like hell to see that we access that and put them in our application for our women. We have a plan and a strategy that will work. We are not worried about the money. The money will come.”

Professor Walker-Davis

The Queen-mother of Nungua Okpoigonnor, Naa Adesey Omanyesane III, expressed her delight that the global project had been started in Accra, calling the Accra city as a hub for successful events. She praised the effort, saying it will help reduce the number of unwed mothers and teen pregnancies.

Reverend Dr. Nana Yaa Owusu-Prempeh, Founder and President of Women in Leadership International, posited that the initiative would “unleash phenomenal financial empowerment to women in the country.

“We are going to make sure that women who are ready to work are empowered with small money to start their businesses. We can change lives and we will do it one person at a time.”

Dr. Nana Yaa Owusu-Prempeh

Dr. Owusu-Prempeh maintained that the WOPAT plans to collaborate with the Ministries of Education, Employment, Tourism, and Gender, Children, and Social Protection in Ghana in order to realize its vision. On January 10, 2022, the project will be launched in India.
