Marlian music signee, Mohbad, has raised concerns over attempts on his life by suspected members of the Marlian group and his boss, Naira Marley.

According to the singer, should anything unfortunate happen to him, Naira Marley and the crew members should be held responsible. The singer raised the alarm on an Instagram live video just a few hours after his release from National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) custody.

In the Instagram video, the singer speaking in his local dialect (Yoruba) and English, disclosed that NDLEA arrested his colleague, Zinoleesky, a few others, and him. However, he was fortunate to have been released. He then alleged that upon his return, members of the Marlian music tried to harm him.

Meanwhile, Marlian music Boss, Naira Marley, confirmed Mohbad’s release in a series of tweets.

Naira Marley arrested over alleged Fraud Case

Naira Marley,

The EFCC claimed that the offenses were committed on different dates between November 26 and December 11, 2018, as well as May 10, 2019. It alleged that Naira Marley and his accomplices conspired to use different Access Bank ATM cards to defraud their victims.

The EFCC also noted that the defendant possessed and used counterfeit credit cards belonging to different people, with intent to defraud others.

The alleged offenses are said to contravene the provisions of Sections 1 23 (1) (b), 27 (1), and 33(9) of the Cyber Crime (Prohibition) Prevention Act, 2015.

When arraigned before Justice Oweibo, Naira Marley pleaded not guilty. The court later granted him bail in the sum of 2 million Naira with two sureties.
