A male model, who went viral after his controversial marriage to nine different women, is now facing divorce from one of his wives.
According to reports, Arthur O Urso, is in a divorce proceedings from one of his wives, Agatha, as she claims the idea of polygamy isn’t as appealing as she once thought.
“She wanted to have me all to herself,” Arthur, who has an OnlyFans page where he makes £56,000 a month, told local media.
“It didn’t make sense; we have to share. I was very sad about the separation and even more surprised by her excuse. She said that she was missing a monogamous relationship. My other wives thought her attitude was wrong and that she accepted the marriage for adventure and not for real feelings. I know I’ve lost a wife, but I’m not going to replace her at the moment”.

Despite Arthur’s plans to hold-off on marrying anyone new for the time being, he hopes to marry two more women in the future to bring his number of wives up to 10, per reports.
“I have a dream; my wish has always been to have 10 wives. I only have one daughter, but I want to have [a child] with each one of my wives,” Arthur said. “The love I feel for each of them is the same. I think it would be unfair to only have children with one or two of them”.
Arthur O Urso from Brazil made headlines last year after he collectively married his nine wives in a bid to “celebrate free love” and “protest against monogamy”. Arthur and his first wife Luana Kazaki, are swingers and they decided to formalize their existing marriage in a ceremony held at a Catholic church in São Paulo.
Man With Highest Number of Wives
One would wonder if Arthur holds the record for the man with the highest number of wives. Well, he isn’t as that record is held by Nigeria’s most famous polygamist, Mohammed Bello Abubakar.
Mr. Bello married a total number of 107 women, however, he divorced 10, suggesting that he has 97 wives according to sources. He shot to international fame in August 2008, when he had 86 wives. He granted interviews to journalists and film crews explaining his unusual living situation and noted that “God has asked me to do it”.
According to reports, the cleric has no discernible income and has clashed in the past with the local Islamic authorities, who describe his larger-than-average household as a cult.
However, Mr. Bello explained his own interpretation was that “the Quran does not place a limit and it is up to what your own power, your own endowment, and ability allows”.
That non-standard pronouncement saw him arrested later in 2008 at the request of the local Shariah Court, with the Emir in Bida accusing him of “creating tension” by speaking to journalists. The court released him in November 2008 on the condition that he divorce 82 of his 86 wives but he did not comply. Later some rumors were being spread that he died. However, he came out to debunk all those rumors.
