The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) Commissioner of Police (COP), Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, has urged external investors of Ghana not to be skeptical about doing business in the country.

The COP, who happens to be the first female Executive Director of EOCO, assured them of stringent laws to protect their investments made in the country, however, reminded them to conduct a due diligence on their partners in Ghana and avoid bending rules; not following the right processes to invest in the West African country.

Mrs. Addo-Danquah further urged the business community to take advantage of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and the existence of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA) to do business in Africa.

Moreover, she ceased the opportunity to assure delegates that the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) is in a position to assess the credibility of would-be partners before engaging them in any business, thus, should take advantage of the office so they don’t fall for scam schemes.
