Sam George Judges Kwabena Duffuor As Undeserving Of NDC Flagbearer-ship

Sam Nartey George

Sam Nartey George, the member of Parliament for Ningo-Pramparam, has questioned the capabilities of Kwabena Duffuor as the flagbearer of the NDC.

Surprisingly, Sam George does not believe Kwabena Duffuor will be a good President, as he is not credible enough to be NDC’s Flagbearer or serve as a running mate.

He explained that, despite promising comfort which in Twi is translated as ‘Ahotor’, he is yet to pay some of his staff at ElB 17 months’ salary arrears, as the owner of the company.

The Ningo-Prampram Constituency’s Member of Parliament, encouraged Ghanaians to imagine what would happen to the Civil service, should Kwabena Duffuor be made a President, under the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“How can we trust you in running the party? You hosting me, you are owed months of salary and yet Kwabena Duffuor is running around promising ‘Ahotor’. He is promising ‘Ahotor’ which is comfort and relaxation, yet you his staff, some of you are owed 17 months of salary.

“How are you feeding, how are you coming to work every day? So, if he cannot pay his own workers, but he is promising Ghanaians that he will pay. I am focused on the capabilities of the individual, because the capabilities of Kwabena Duffuor, is to run and own a TV Station, that owes staff 17 months of salary.”

Sam Nartey George

The host prompted that Kwabena Duffuor, would not be directly involved in the day-to-day running of the nation, but Sam George, refuted the claim, by proving that just as he (Kwabena Duffuor) appointed CEO’s for EIB, he would have to do same by appointing ministers to run the nation on his behalf.

“He will appoint CEO and he will appoint minister and he will be responsible, ultimately for how they run those entities. So, if EIB group, cannot manage it and he owe his staff 17 months’ salary, imagine what will happen to the civil servant who will be working, he will owe them 25 months of salary.”

Sam Nartey George

To Sam George, his best bet, will be John Dramani Mahama, as he has seen his delivery as a President and has so far proven himself. He claimed Former President John Dramani Mahama is credible, has a staff that works for him, and finalized that none of them is owed a salary.

EIB Staff Angry At Kwabena Duffuor’s Massive Campaign Coverage, Despite Unpaid Salary

The staff of EIB Network were enraged, as directives from the media group’s management issued to them, asked they gave off their very best, in the coverage of their founder’s political campaign.

An internal mail, signed by EIB’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Santokh Singh Ram Singh, impressed upon the various news departments of the media, to play ball and give the political campaign of Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, an extensive coverage, as he contests the flagbearer slot of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The memo; sources familiar with the situation say, has enraged the workers, some of whom complained bitterly, about what they see as the management’s “insensitivity”, to their plight and “gross injustice to their welfare, since they have not been paid for 17 months or more.

The aggrieved and agitated staff, some of whom have families who depend on them, are wondering why they should continue to lend their support to their founder and his Presidential ambition, as he fritters more cash on his campaign trail, while they starve.

They have subsequently hinted at a protest against Duffuor’s candidature, if the management fails to pay them their accrued arrears, since the pressure being mounted on them from their dependents, is no more tolerable.
