Less than 24 hours after Sarkodie threw a challenge to Shatta Wale for a boxing match at the Bukom Boxing Arena, the latter has accepted with a little caveat; a 2-million-dollar winning prize.
Sarkodie in a new video had invited the dancehall musician to a bout during a recent trip to the Arena to watch some boxing bouts organized by Max Boxing Promotions.
The “Dancehall King” whose attention was brought to the request by his rival from a fan on Twitter said he was more than ready to enter the ring and show him who was the superior fighter.
He responded:
“The way ago beat am erh !!! He go think say me I born am ”.

However, Shatta Wale has made one major condition for this boxing match: the winning prize must be a staggering $2 million.
He added:
“I am down but make them put $ 2 million as the winning price… If they make ready with the money make them call me !!”.

Shatta Wale’s challenge has sparked a lot of interest and debate among fans and critics alike who have either applauded him or questioned his motives on whether he is actually serious about the challenge.
This is not the first time that a celebrity has entered the boxing ring. In recent times, there have been many examples of celebrities engaging in highly publicized boxing matches over the years, including the famous battle between YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI.
It will be interesting to see how this story develops and whether the two musicians will actually step into the ring together.

Ghanaian Hip-hop star, Sarkodie, playfully expressed his intention to test his boxing skills at the Bukom Boxing Arena in a Royal Rumble match style with dancehall musician, Shatta Wale.
The challenge was made during a recent trip to the Arena to watch some boxing bouts.
Sarkodie, who was asked to deliver a verdict on what he had witnessed so far, expressed his happiness to be there and promised to return to watch more bouts going forward.
However, it was his challenge to Shatta Wale that caught the attention of many.
He said full of mirth:
“You can arrange a boxing fight between myself and Shatta Wale to confirm this”.

Known for their lyrical prowess and energetic stage performance, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale’s celebrity boxing match would undoubtedly attract a lot of attention from their fans, and it would be interesting to see who would come out on top.
The two who settled their rift with a performance at Sarkodie’s Black Love concert in 2020 could ignite a new rivalry with a boxing match.
Recall that the two had been at loggerheads for a while, concerning Sarkodie’s feature on the late Bob Marley’s ‘Stir It Up’ saying that Sarkodie has featured a ghost, and their beef took over from the Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy feud, which was squashed in 2019 after the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards brawl.
Sarkodie and Shatta Wale threw jabs at each other in their songs, social media posts, and interviews, till the matter was settled.
Sarkodie’s contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for “Artiste of the Decade”. He was announced the first winner of BET’s Best International Flow Artist at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards.
He is also considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance and one of the most successful African rappers of all time.
