Nana Ayew Afriyie Shades Kennedy Agyapong

Nana Ayew Afriyie

Nana Ayew Afriyie, the MP for Efiduase, has advised Kennedy Agyapong not to attack Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, when it comes to matters pertaining to Ghana’s readmission to the IMF.

The MP clarified that any inquiries about the IMF or the weak situation of the economy should be directed to Ken Ofori-Atta, the Finance Minister.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, he said, is a strategist because of his ability to rise above mundane things such as cleaning dorm rooms and driving cabs to become the man he is today.

“I will say that he should direct it to the Minister of Finance and when he (Bawumia) is in charge, he will take charge and take us to the promised land. We are going to the promised land. DMB is taking us there. He (Agyapong) Should attack the finance minister not him (Bawumia).

“He shared his experiences, when he used to clean to go to school to pay his fees; drive taxis, cabs. So, any person can be President one day. Any person’s child, regardless of where you are in this country, there is an opportunity for you to be where you have to be.”

Kennedy Agyapong, an NPP flagbearer hopeful, fired shots at Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign staff. The Assin Central MP issued a stern warning to the Vice President’s camp during a campaign speech to NPP members in Kintampo East, saying that if the personal attacks on him continue, he will go on the offensive.

Bawumia Publicly Endorsed

In advance of the upcoming special college election, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has received the official support of Education Minister and Member of Parliament for the Bosomtwe Constituency, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

At an endorsement gathering in Abountem, Dr. Adutwum spoke in favor of Dr. Bawumia and praised the Vice President for his commitment to the party and his knowledge of socio-economic development and education.

“I know Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He has a good heart, and he laid his life for the party. Dr. Bawumia has stood for the hardworking people of Bosomtwe. But more importantly, he understands education and socio-economic development. He will be a better president.”

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum

Dr. Adutwum emphasized the important contributions made to the development and restoration of the Bosomtwe District by Vice President Bawumia and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The Vice President’s persistent support to the education system was also acknowledged by the Education Minister, who also complimented Dr. Bawumia for his assistance and support through trying times.

He emphasized the Vice President’s knowledge of education and socioeconomic development as crucial skills for effective leadership and urged the delegates to work hard to ensure the success of Dr. Bawumia’s campaign.

“I am forced to do so because of one individual, Dr. Bawumia. So today, I want to declare here that all those who love Dr. Adutwum across the length and breadth of Ghana, I whole-heartedly and fully endorse the flagbearership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

“The years ahead of us, which are four, eight and sixteen, let us vote for the NPP. If we can continue as a government, then there is no other person than Bawumia. He understands education and socio-economic development. He will be a better President.”
