Award-winning Ghanaian gospel music star, Piesie Esther, has finally landed in the United Kingdom after much anticipation.
Ahead of her much anticipated Concert in the United Kingdom dubbed ‘Waye Me Yiye’ concert, the gospel artist and her husband arrived at Heathrow Airport for the first time.
On their arrival at the airport, Piesie Esther went haywire as she displayed a lot of hilarious dance moves and announced that was her first time ever visiting the United Kingdom, specifically, London.
Also, she sang her current viral song to encourage all others who have the hope of achieving some important things in life, including traveling to the United Kingdom that it will happen for them just as it has for her.
The concert was put together by the Pan African Art Society to give the people of the United Kingdom another night of unforgettable moments.
The concert will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Dominion Center located at Broadway Highroad in London.
A lot of top-rated gospel artists from other countries are also going to mount the stage to seek heavenly blessings for patrons of the concert apart from Piesie Esther, who is the headline act on the night.
Other stars billed to perform at the concert are Lusanda Beeja from South Africa, Eben from Nigeria, and Ghana’s sensational singer, Nacee.
Piesie Esther talks English version of ‘Waye Me Yiye’
Piesie Esther argued that performing in an international language greatly widens one’s reach but it’s not the ultimate determiner of a song’s success.

“It’s very true singing in English takes a song far, reaching the diaspora and beyond”.

However, she added:
“A significant number of people prefer the very old songs performed in our indigenous language”.

Concerning the monster hit ‘Waye Me Yie’, the deaconess said a lot of people call from abroad.
She explained:
“These people always mention that what they love is the spirit backing the song, they get the feeling but they don’t understand the words.
“It would have been preferable to them, had we done an English version. But anytime we’ve attempted a translation, we’ve encountered difficulties, especially with the parts where the song talks of the sorrows of living with strangers to make ends meet and such”.

“When we ask people for help, some of them begin to scratch their heads. The Akan used to write the song is heavy”.

In what is tipped to be another viral piece from the hitmaker, several of Gospel’s biggest names have been featured on a remix of Ghana’s current biggest Gospel song.
Recorded live at the Black City Studios in Accra, fans are expected to hear the dynamic vocals and flair of MOGmusic, Celestine Donkor, Ceccy Twum, Ohemaa Mercy, Obaapa Christy, Kofi Owusu Peprah, and Joyce Blessing.
The gospel celebrities during their delivery of the famous song ‘Waye Me Yie’ gave the audience goosebumps with their unique adlibs and creative approach, offering a breath of fresh air to the already viral song.
Her debut album, “Apae Ama Me”, released in 2002, catapulted her to national fame, and she has since released several other successful albums, including “Me Nte Ase”, “Ziba Beko”, and “Agye Won Nsem”. Her songs, including “Osore3 Mu Tumi”, have continued to receive massive airplay in Ghana.
Apart from being a singer, Piesie Esther is also a songwriter and composer. She has been recognized for her talents, winning the Best Motivational Song award at the 2009 Ceval Gospel Awards. She is a consistent performer, and her strong brand has made her appealing to both local and international corporate audiences.
