Response By NPP To Video I Posted Of Big Notes Stashed In Room Confirmed Their Guilt- Apaak

DELEGATES

Member of parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, has revealed that some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), are swiftly responding to a video he posted of money-sharing to delegates.

According to him, the reaction of these NPP folks has “confirmed that they are guilty”. He revealed that he made a post and attached a video of big notes being stashed in a room, and that although he didn’t mention a name or a party, there has been some reaction from the opposition.

“I didn’t indicate a date or place, yet NPP people are jumping over each other to respond to me. It doesn’t matter whether the video I attached to my commentary is dated 2 years ago, last year, yesterday or today.”

Dr Clement Apaak

Dr Apaak alleged that the cash being stashed in the video is GH200 and GH100 notes. He indicated that the notes were introduced under the NPP’s “corrupt, reckless, galamsey Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government”.

“But wait oooh. Is money stashed in rooms? Yes. Cecilia Dapaah matter confirms that, doesn’t it; in fact, word is that some have put the money in poly tanks mpo. Is money being shared to delegates? yes. At EUSBETT HOTEL in Sunyani delegates were being given gh20k each in gh200 notes. Has BoG printed money unlawfully? Yes. Has BoG posted a loss? Yes gh60B. Has government said it has written off its indebtedness to BoG? Yes. Is Ghana broke? Yes. Are those ruling Ghana filthy rich? Yes.”

Dr Clement Apaak

Furthermore, Dr Apaak stated that the “criminal enterprise” perpetrated by the ruling party will be called just that. With this, he vowed to speak on issues bordering on the national interest and will equally stand for the truth.

“Call me what you want, describe me as you wish, it won’t stop me. So, go and burn the sea for all I care.”

NPP campaign financing

Meanwhile, member of parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has observed a “striking” situation whereby both the first unconstitutional withdrawal of GHS142.7 million for Akufo-Addo’s cathedral and his E.I. on land acquisition for the BoG’s US$222.7 million head office project, all occurred in October 2020, few weeks to the 2020 election.

With this, he questioned whether the NPP campaign financing could have been a major motivation for these “legendary sleazy profligate” October projects.

“Isn’t it about time the 2 notorious October 2020 billion dollar albatross (Akufo-Addo’s cathedral & BoG head office) trigger a national debate & fresh legislation on transparent political party financing & whether incumbent governments should be allowed few weeks to presidential elections to recklessly, and on the blindside of the people, impose such monstrous financial burdens on struggling taxpayers?”

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa

Moreover, Mr Ablakwa explained that lessons from the project undertaken by government, however, remain “clear and unmistakable”. By this, he highlighted the “hurriedly arranged electioneering campaign-time projects without national consultation, transparency, accountability and respect for our laws”, which he noted, always have a disastrous outcome even if those projects initially helped the party buy votes to consolidate power.

“It catches up with you, and more tragically with our nation.”
