Find Time For Yourselves And Enjoy – Adina

Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Adina

Adina Thembi Ndamse popularly known in the showbiz as Adina has revealed the message behind her new song titled ‘Party’.

According to the Ghanaian singer and songwriter, despite the problems and struggles in life, one must find time for themselves to enjoy and relax.

“The message behind the song is that right now everyone is going through tough times and so we’re always thinking about money and how to make ends meet,” Adina said.

“But sometimes thinking about money so much will make you forget that life is what we are living so we don’t take time to party or watch your favourite show on TV. I understand that the money is what is going to help us but all we’re saying is no matter what you are going through in life, there’ll always be problems”.

Adina

“So once in a while, you have to take a minute and reserve some time for yourself and have a good time or party and it’s good to take care of yourself so that’s what is in the song,” she further added.

The award-winning musician revealed the reasons she featured Highlife artist, Kofi Kinaata, on her ‘Party’ song.

She remarked that Kofi Kinaata’s songwriting skills and sense of humor are impeccable.

“I featured Kofi Kinaata on my party song because of the message that we want to sell; he’s the best person who can deliver. We all know that Kofi Kinaata’s writing skills are exceptional, and he’s among the very best, and he’s one in town,” she asserted.

“So for the kind of message that we are talking about, I felt that he’s the best person, and apart from that, he also uses a lot of motivating words in his songs. He has comedic ways of saying what he wants to say in his songs, and he involves humor in delivering his serious messages most often. When listening to Kofi Kinaata, you won’t feel like you’re in a church and they’re preaching, and it still feels like my brother is advising me. He’s an amazing artist and I’m a huge fan of Kofi Kinaata. That’s why I thought he’s definitely the one that will complement the song, and he really killed it.”

Adina

Kofi Kinaata is known in showbiz for his lyrical ability in terms of unique rhyme schemes and humorous Fante rap style with a touch of traditional African proverbs in his local language to entertain and educate.

Ghanaian songstress Adina Thembi stated that not going to join celebrities for the Occupy Julorbi House protests doesn’t mean she’s unconcerned.

She expressed that even though she has her personal views about the protest, she will address them at the appropriate time.

“As for the country, we are all living in it, and not going for the Occupy Julorbi protest doesn’t mean I’m unconcerned about what’s happening,” she remarked.

“I have my personal views and what I think about what is going on but for this particular thing, I would rather keep it to myself. At the right time, if it’s necessary to address it, then I’ll address it, so I’ll plead that you respect my little space on this particular issue. Because whatever they are discussing is something that affects all of us as human beings or as Ghanaian citizens so at the appropriate time we’ll talk about it.”

Adina

It could be recalled that some sections of Ghanaians demonstrated to register their displeasure with some developments in the country and the need for the government to take swift action to save the sinking country.

Several celebrities were at the demonstration to show their support and also inform the government that they are suffering the product of mismanagement and corruption.
