Popular Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawo, has come to the defense of his newly married friend and colleague, Kunle Remi, after a troll made an unflattering remark about him.
Recall that Kunle tied the knot with his beautiful bride, Tiwi, over the weekend, causing quite a buzz both in town and on the internet.
From their vibrant traditional wedding to their enchanting white wedding ceremony and their ‘erotic’ dance moves, they dominated the trend table on social media.
Amid the buzz, an X user, while reacting to a video of Kunle and Tiwi dancing at their wedding, asserted that the movie star looks like a serial cheater.
“This guy looks like a serial cheater,” he wrote.
This comment didn’t sit well with Deyemi, a close friend of Kunle, and he took it upon himself to respond to the troll.
“So did your father… and look at his byproduct! 😊” Deyemi Okanlawon wrote.
Also, Deyemi Okanlawon stirred a considerable online buzz with a video of him and actress, Osas Ighodaro at actor, Kunle Remi’s wedding.
The city of Ibadan experienced a glamorous affair as Kunle Remi officially exchanged vows with his wife, Boluwatiwi, in a wedding attended by luminaries such as billionaire Femi Otedola and family, Bimbo Ademoye, Toyin Abraham, Bisola Aiyeola, Sharon Oooja, Mofe Duncan, Ini Dima-Okojie, and other notable figures.
In the aftermath of the celebration, a video emerged capturing Deyemi Okanlawon and Osas Ighodaro engrossed in playful friendship at Kunle Remi’s white wedding.
The footage showed Okanlawon who is married attempting to plant a kiss on Osas Ighodaro’s cheek, showcasing a lighthearted moment between the two Nollywood stars.
Reacting swiftly, Osas Ighodaro resisted but Deyemi persisted which resulted in both of them laughing.

In other news, media personality, Toyosi Etim-Effiong has come under fire after she revealed that she was afraid of her friend, Tiwi and Kunle Remi getting married.
She confessed that she has known Tiwi even longer than she has known her husband so she was scared for her because, from personal experience, Toyosi knows attractive actors receive a lot of attention from female fans.
Toyosi stated that she was afraid for their union because of the attention and love Kunle Remi has been receiving because of his attractiveness.
However after a sequence of exchanges and talks, her anxiety has diminished and she conveyed her happiness at Kunle and her pal, Tiwi’s nuptials.
Stressing That Fame Was The Last Thing On Mind
Deyemi Okanlawon stressed that “fame” was the last thing on his mind when he ventured into the entertainment industry.
The thespian shared insights into his career and personal philosophy. Okanlawon was candid about his approach to dealing with the fame and attention that naturally accompany being an actor.
He expressed that his primary focus was on the craft itself, and fame was an unexpected byproduct.
“I’ll be honest, I didn’t know this side of fame. I didn’t come into the industry to be famous. I came to do the work. The collateral upside of doing the work was fame, and so I quickly adapted,” he explained.
Okanlawon revealed that he actively tries to distance himself from the trappings of celebrity status. According to him, maintaining a grounded and centered mindset is crucial for both personal and professional growth. He emphasized the importance of steering clear of any inflated ego that fame might bring.
“I try to remove myself from it because you don’t want that to be in your head. As a person or as an actor, you want to be fresh, you want to be plain. You don’t want to have any airs. That just keeps you centered and grounded. I know what happens when you let it get into your head. So you just accept it, appreciate it, and keep it moving,” Okanlawon further added.
The actor stressed that he seeks to focus less on fame in all his endeavors.
