The Campaign Team for the National Democratic Congress flagbearer, Former President John Dramani Mahama has categorically denied any knowledge or affiliation with a group named the ‘Social Democratic Forum, and its claims that the party is over-relying on Alan Kyerematen and his Butterfly Movement for political gains in the Ashanti Region.

In an official press release issued by the Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari Esq, the Mahama 2024 Campaign clarified its position, asserting that the mentioned group is entirely unknown to the opposition National Democratic Congress and former President John Dramani Mahama

“The Mahama 2024 Campaign has been made aware of a statement circulated by persons affiliated with the NPP, allegedly from a group called ‘Social Democratic Forum’.

Also, Lawyer Joyce Bawah Mogtari in the statement described the claims by the ‘Social Democratic Forum’ as a misguided and desperate effort by the governing New Patriotic Party to downplay the severe backlash faced by its flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his attempt to distance himself from his government’s poor governance.

Furthermore, the Campaign Team for the National Democratic Congress flagbearer, Former President John Dramani Mahama’s statement highlighted the failures of the New Patriotic Party administration and accused the ruling party of misrule, economic mismanagement, corruption, nepotism, and arrogance of power.
