Edward Akwasi Boateng Makes A Tearful Revelation

Edward Akwasi Boateng

Gospel star, Edward Akwasi Boateng has shared an emotional story of how he’s been struggling with life’s challenges.

He disclosed that he lost all his 17 cars after marriage, adding that his wife turned him into a spendthrift and made him spend more than he was earning.

Despite relocating to the US, she divorced him after noticing he had gone broke.

The gospel minister lamented how he chose a big spender as a wife rather than a helper.

He mentioned that most Western marriages make the couple successful, compared to that of Ghana where couples automatically experience poverty when they get married.

As confirmed by him, he said that he was the one in the viral video circulating on social media.

As sadly disclosed by him, he was forced to hit the streets to sell the pen drives after his kids came from school to demand their fees.

Because he’s currently broke and has no helper, he had to storm the market to sell pendrives to raise money for his kids’ fees.

“I have not been able to sleep for two days now because of the things I have heard and seen. On Tuesday my children came to me for their school fees but I did not have money and did not know how to get the money so I decided to sell my pen drives to get the money,” he said.

“People are of the view that a musician like me with such a reputation, career and previously owned about 17 cars and now I’m selling my own pen drive. The false stories are many and when you say they distort the information,” he noted.

The gospel genius further disclosed that he is now an MTN MoMo merchant.

Edward Akwasi Boateng, once a prominent figure in the Ghanaian gospel music scene, reached the climax of success in the early 2000s, amassing a fortune estimated at over $300,000.

During this period, Boateng’s opulent lifestyle included an impressive collection of 17 expensive cars and luxurious mansions scattered across the country.

He lived a life of luxury, flying first class and enjoying the trappings of success akin to royalty, reminiscent of the Sultan of Brunei.

However, recent developments have illuminated a contrasting chapter in Edward Akwasi Boateng’s life.

The transition from a life of abundance to one marked by the humble act of selling pen drives raises questions about the dynamics of success, financial management, and the sustainability of fame in the entertainment industry.

Edward Akwesi Boateng earned a reputation in the music space and Ghana through the release of his songs: “Adee Mepe Nyinaa”, “Makoma so Ade”, “Kae Asem a Waka”, and “Ntie Atesem Hunu”, with the latter, released in 2018.

Prophet Bernard El Bernard, the head pastor of Spirit Life Revival Ministry, decided to give an incredible gift to ace gospel artist Edward Akwasi Boateng.

The man of God presented some valuable gifts, including a brand new car, an all-expense-paid scholarship for his children up to university, and a monthly allowance to ease the burden of his recent financial crisis.

The presentation was done at the Spiritual Revival Ministry in Accra, where Prophet Bernand El Bernard, alongside his congregation, welcomed Edward Akwasi Boateng.

The legendary gospel artist, visibly moved and speechless, expressed deep gratitude for the unexpected gift given to him during these challenging times.

The benevolent act comes on the heels of a viral video circulating on the internet showcasing Edward Akwasi Boateng selling pen drives and CDs at a bus station in Kumasi.

The gospel musician, facing financial hardship, made a passionate appeal to the public to support him by purchasing his music.

The gospel artist found himself facing financial hardships, prompting concern from fans and well-wishers. The recent public appearance selling merchandise sparked empathy and compassion from those aware of his predicament.
