Trump To Make First Public Appearance Since Federal Indictment

Former U.S President, Donald Trump.

Former U.S President, Donald Trump has predicted that he will win “every state” on Super Tuesday.

He added that he is fully focused on the November election against his presumed opponent, Joe Biden.

“My focus is really at this point, it’s on Biden,” Trump said in an interview.

“We should win almost every state today, I think every state. … But we [should] really look at Biden,” he added.

This came as voting is currently under way in today’s Super Tuesday primary contests.

The polls are open as millions head to the ballot box for the largest day for voting for both Democrats and Republicans before the November presidential election, known as Super Tuesday.

Voters involved are in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia.

All those states except Alaska will hold their Democratic primary contests as well.

The U.S territory of American Samoa will simultaneously hold its Democratic caucus, and today, Tuesday, March 5, 2024 also marks the last day for Iowa Democrats to mail in in their primary ballots.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Arkansas Governor who is the former Trump Press Secretary, said she is confident that her former boss will win the Republican nomination and take back the White House in the November general election.

Speaking to reporters as she cast her ballot at a Little Rock community center with her husband, Sanders voiced, “This is a head to head matchup at this point between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, and he’s the clear favorite, has all the momentum, and I feel really good about him winning again in November.”

In past election cycles, Super Tuesday has provided a clear indication of which candidates will win their parties’ presidential nominations.

In 2020, for example, Joe Biden brought Bernie Sanders’ march to the Democratic nomination to a crashing halt after he won 10 of the Super Tuesday states.

Biden went on to become the Democratic nominee and later won the general election against Donald Trump.

This year, the Super Tuesday carries far less suspense as both parties already have a clear sense of who their nominees will be.

Biden and Trump have sailed through the early voting states.

Meanwhile, Republican presidential candidate, Nikki Haley remains in the race against Trump.

However, expectations for her campaign are low, as she has only managed to win one primary so far.

In an interview, Nikki Haley stated that as much as “everybody wants to go and push me out, I’m not ready to get out yet.”

she added, “I’m still sitting there fighting for the people that want a voice, so they deserve that.”

“If I were to get out of the race, that would still be the longest presidential general election in the history. I don’t know why everybody is so adamant that they have to follow Trump’s lead to get me out of this race.”

“All of these people deserve to vote … It’s as pro-American as it gets.”

Haley once again rejected a third-party presidential bid.

Haley averred, “I have said many, many times I would not run as an independent.”

She stressed, “I would not run as No Labels because I am a Republican. And that’s who I’ve always been. That’s what I’m going to do.”

The third-party presidential movement, No Labels, plans to meet after Super Tuesday to decide whether it will go forward with plans to launch an independent candidacy.
