The Central Region branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vehemently condemned what it described as disparaging remarks and personal attacks launched by the Majority Leader, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo Markin against the party’s running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.

The party, in a statement issued by its Central Regional Communications Officer, Gabriella Tetteh, strongly asserted that such attacks are unwarranted and reflect the New Patriotic Party’s agitation and bewilderment over the National Democratic Congress’s choice for the Vice-Presidential candidate in the upcoming elections.

Expressing deep disappointment about the Effutu Member of Parliament’s remarks, the National Democratic Congress Communications Officer in the Central Region condemned the comments, stating that the Effutu Lawmaker deviated from addressing the government’s performance than launching personal attacks on Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.
