Prophet Kofi Oduro Reacts To Internet Disruptions

Prophet Kofi Oduro

The head pastor of Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has criticized the governance of the country following recent internet disruptions that have posed challenges to businesses and individuals.

He believes that it is important for the country to have backup plans in place for every possible scenario. This way, if the primary plan fails, there are already other options that can be used.

He further added that the current situation is a security threat to the nation.

He was angry about the fact that Ghana did not have contingency plans in place to help citizens during internet disruptions. These disruptions have brought many organizations and institutions to a standstill, causing a lot of inconvenience to people.

“What is happening in the internet space is a security threat. If someone plans to do a coup d’etat, this is a good time because everybody has been shut down. There must always be a plan B and C for everything,” Prophet Kofi Oduro asserted.

“Even with the ministry work, there is a plan B and C at all times. How can you tell me that there is a cable from Portugal that has been cut? This is a sick nation because Ghana does not have a plan,” he said in a video.

He made the statement on the back of recent cuts in undersea fibre optic cables, which have significantly impacted mobile network operations since March 14, leading to a widespread internet outage across the nation.

The National Communications Authority (NCA) served notice to the public that the four subsea cables from Ghana to Europe through Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal are still out of service.

In a current update on the internet challenge shared by the National Communication Authority (NCA) on March 16, it was stated that it will take a minimum of 5 weeks before the issue will be resolved.

Mr. Logic Expresses His Concern On The Unstable Internet Connections

Aside from the economic and electricity issues confronting Ghanaians, another issue that has added to the plights of Ghana and some West African countries is unstable internet connections.

For some days now, some West African countries, including Ghana, have been facing interruptions in accessing the internet.

The various network providers have reached out to their customers and explained the situation.

This made some social media users pour out their frustrations, sharing how the situation is affecting their various operations, and also one of the topics for most discussions this past few days

Entertainment pundit, Mr. Logic expressed his concern on the topic, and according to him, the situation explains that one cannot live without the Internet.

He said the daily operations of every individual now involve the Internet, and looking at how businesses are being affected due to poor Internet connectivity shows that without the Internet, life is meaningless.

“The situation shows how important data and technology have become part of us. It is so strange that you can’t do anything. Banks are sending messages, and I have received more than five from my Banks. So, I asked myself, if we wake up one day and this issue is a permanent shutdown, what are we going to do?” Mr. Logic quizzed.

“I think we should base on this to learn, aside from the explanation given, we have to learn that we have engaged ourselves in a digital system. We can’t do anything; we are finding it difficult to reach out to people. We should just pray because we live with the internet. Without the internet, there’s no life,” he said.
