The Nationwide Supporters of Alan Cash (NAWSAC) have condemned what it described as the ruling New Patriotic Party’s deliberate tactics to use money to induce supporters of its leader, Alan Kyerematen.
The Convener of the group, Luther King Junior in a statement bemoaned what he described as the ruling government’s effort to undermine the candidacy of the founder and leader of the Movement for Change through some perceived foul means.
However, Luther King Junior, the Convener of the group affirmed the unwavering support of the youth for Mr Alan Kyerematen’s leadership, stating that the true young people of Mr Kyerematen’s revolution “cannot be bought”.
“We are aware of the clandestine operations of the New Patriotic Party to undermine the candidature of Alan Kyerematen. This time in a full display of ‘monicracy’, there have been blatant attempts to use money as a tool to pull young people from the Movement for Change.
“This is defining of the awful state of the New Patriotic Party who are forced in their panic mode to stoop so low”

Furthermore, the Convener of the Nationwide Supporters of Alan Cash (NAWSAC), Luther King Junior vehemently denounced what he perceived as the governing New Patriotic Party’s desperation, asserting that the ranks and file of the Movement for Change remained uncompromised.
He also criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party’s celebration of its perceived success in swaying some members and supporters of the Movement for Change.
Mr King Junior ridiculed the celebration, stating that such mentioned individuals lack the required influence and conviction to make any significant impact on the country’s political landscape.
He further underscored the determination of the youth following Mr Kyerematen not to allow themselves to be taken for granted by the two main political parties, decrying attempts by the ruling New Patriotic Party to sway the allegiance of the Ghanaian youth with “spoils of corruption”.
The statement also chastised the supporters of the Movement of Change who have deflected from the movement to join the ruling New Patriotic Party, accusing them of being blinded by greed and ignorance.
Mr King Junior asserted that their roles in activities such as poster sticking and noise making are inconsequential in the face of a genuine revolution aimed at addressing pressing issues like job creation and opportunities for the youth.
Disappointment in Ghana’s Political Establishment
Moreover, the Convenor for the Nationwide Supporters of Alan Cash (NAWSAC) expressed deep concerns over what he described as the growing disappointment in the country’s current political establishment, particularly among the teeming young people.
He indicated that the frustrations over issues such as job creation and lack of opportunities for youth have fueled a desire for change and a rejection of the status quo led by the ruling New Patriotic Party and the opposition National Democratic Congress.
In light of these developments, the Convener of the Nationwide Supporters of Alan Cash (NAWSAC) expressed the commitment of the group to continue its crusade for political reform, asserting that neither the ruling New Patriotic Party nor the opposition National Democratic Congress can “buy the conscience of young people”.
Mr Luther King Junior concluded his statement by urging all Ghanaians, particularly the youth to rally behind the candidacy of the founder and leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyermaten and vote for him in the December 7 polls.
Meanwhile, in an earlier development, approximately 6,000 young people across the country who according to them had previously defected from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to join Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change have announced their return to the ruling party.
The group led by the former New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary aspirant for Adentan Constituency, Alfred Ababio Kumi, in a press conference, admitted that leaving the ruling party was a mistake.
Mr Kumi thus declared the group’s renewed support for the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
