Political Communications Strategist Lauds Mahama’s Running Mate Choice

Former President John Dramani Mahama and Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang

Professor Kobby Mensah, a lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School has applauded former President John Dramani Mahama’s choice of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate for the 2024 general election.

The renowned Political communications and Marketing Strategist while commending the opposition National Democratic Congress for retaining Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang stated that the re-nomination of the former Minister of Education as the party’s running mate would go a long to contribute to the party’s chances in the upcoming general election.

Professor Kobby Mensah expressing confidence in the former Vice Chancellor for the University of Cape Coast’s Vice Presidential candidature added that her personality would solidify the base of the opposition party.

“She is a very stable person, she is a very focused person very articulate, to say the least, and of course very professional with service. So you could feel that all these were actually coming into play. So certainly yes the former President couldn’t have actually made any better choice than that”.

Furthermore, Professor Kobby Mensah strongly posited that the pair of former President John Dramani Mahama and Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for the opposition National Democratic Congress underscored a sense of unity and oneness in the opposition party.

According to him, among the personalities, who were tipped for the National Democratic Congress running mate position, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang stands tall among all them.

He stated that the nomination of Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang would drive the rank and file of the opposition National Democratic Congress to campaign assiduously ahead of the December 7 polls for victory.

Professor Jane Naana’s Speech

Commenting on the National Democratic Congress running mate for the 2024 general election’s speech delivered during her outdooring ceremony, Professor Kobby Mensah lauded her for what he described as exemplary delivery.

He described Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s delivery as an improvement of her 2020 speech when she was outdoored as the party’s running mate, praising the sense of seriousness and urgency she attached to her presentation.

Professor Kobby Mensah also emphasized that the demeanor and composure of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang during her outdooring speech sent a good message to Ghanaians, signaling a sense of hope to the electorates.

Meanwhile, the founding President of IMANI Centre for Policy and Education, Franklin Cudjoe also commended the National Democratic Congress running mate for the 2024 general elections, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang following the latter’s speech during her outdooring ceremony.

Mr Cudjoe argued that no criticisms would suffice Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s speech delivered during her outdooring ceremony at the University of Professional Studies, Accra.

He thus cautioned against any attempt by the governing New Patriotic Party that may seek to attack the National Democratic Congress running mate, stating that such exercise would be an exercise in futility.

Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang delivered a speech during her official outdooring as the running mate for National Democratic Congress flagbearer former President John Dramani Mahama for the 2024 election at the University of Professional Studies, Accra on April 24, 2024.

Addressing the rank and file of the opposition party and other dignitaries during her outdooring as running mate to former President John Mahama, the former Minister for Education underscored the National Democratic Congress’s commitment to deliver on its promises when elected into power.

She thus urged all Ghanaians, particularly the youth to rally behind the opposition National Democratic Congress and vote for the party’s flagbearer former President John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming general election.
