NPP and NDC's Flags

The Founder and Leader of the Movement for Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen in a scathing critique has strongly chastised the two leading political parties in the country, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for being responsible for the country’s economic woes and lack of progress.

The former leading Member of the governing New Patriotic Party in a bold and impassioned call to action, urged Ghanaian to patronize his political force, the Alliance for Revolutionary Change in the upcoming general elections.

In his statement, Mr Kyerematen lamented the long-standing blame-game politics between the opposition National Democratic Congress and the ruling New Patriotic, highlighting its detrimental impact on Ghana’s development trajectory.

Citing what he describes as a loss of hope among the populace and a crisis of confidence in the country’s democratic system, Mr Kyerematen touted the Movement for Change and its political force group, the Alliance for Revolutionary Change as the beacon of hope for all citizens yearning for substantive progress.

“The divisiveness in our body politics driven by the duopoly of the two dominant parties, the NPP and NDC has been the major destabilizing factor for progress in Ghana. We will work with every Ghanaian who has the capacity, will and determination to transform Ghana. Together we will fight to build the Ghana we deserve”.

The core tenets of the Movement for Change and the Alliance for Revolutionary Change according to Mr Kyerematen revolve around the principles of credibility, accountability, integrity, unity, and competence in leadership.

Furthermore, Mr Alan Kyerematen recounted that his core vision for the country is to dismantle what he describes as the divisive duopoly championed by the opposition National Democratic Congress and the governing New Patriotic Party, further describing them as the primary obstacle to Ghana’s advancement.

He passionately called for the urgent need for the country to eliminate the “Winner takes all syndrome” that has long plagued the country’s politics since the inception of the Fourth Republic Constitution.

Mr Kyerematen thus advocated for a true representative government that prioritizes the continuity of government projects over partisan interests.

He underscored the imperative of humility and inclusivity in political leadership, calling for an end in what he describes as the arrogance of power often associated with occupying political office in the country.

The leader of the Movement for Change also emphasized that his vision for Ghana is one where every voice is heard, and every citizen is valued, which would be a sharp departure from the excessive politicization and exclusionary practices that have marred the country’s political landscape.

He emphasized that the formation of the Movement for Change and the Alliance for Revolutionary Change signifies a shift in Ghanaian politics, heralding a departure from the status quo and offering a glimmer of hope for a brighter future.

Ghanaians Urged to Exercise Voting Rights in Upcoming General Election

Moreover, the Founder and Leader of the Movement for Change urged all eligible Ghanaians to participate in the upcoming general election, emphasizing the pivotal role of each citizen’s vote in shaping the country’s future.

He underscored the significance of the limited registration period for first-time voters, which commenced from May 7th to May 27th, 2024.

He urged eligible individuals to seize the opportunity to enroll and ensure their voices are heard in the country’s democratic process.

Highlighting the importance of civic engagement, Mr Kyerematen also stressed the need for citizens to exercise their democratic rights responsibly.

He emphasized that the replacement of lost identification cards, scheduled for May 30th, presents an essential avenue for individuals to rectify any administrative issues and ensure their eligibility to vote.

In addition, Mr Kyerematen urged Ghanaians to recognize the power vested in their hands to effect transformative change, thereby emphasizing the need for Ghanaians to vote for him in the December 7 polls for effective and transformational leadership.

In conclusion, while underscoring the importance of unity and solidarity, Mr Kyerematen expressed confidence in the collective strength of the Ghanaian people, stressing that with oneness and togetherness Ghana will attain national transformation and economic stability.
