Media personality Afua Pokua, also known as Vim Lady, has defended her colleague MzGee against accusations by Afia Schwarzenegger that she progressed in her journalism career by offering sexual favors.
Earlier in an attempt to criticize MzGee for her conduct during an interview with Medikal, Afia Schwarzenegger made numerous accusations against the United Showbiz host, including claims of intimate relationships with certain colleagues and superiors in the media industry, among them is MzGee’s husband, who previously held a supervisory role over her.
However, Vim Lady, who has been monitoring the situation, stated that even if MzGee were to engage in such activities, she is a consenting adult.
Vim Lady addressed the issue in a widely circulated video.
“You hear someone accusing MzGee of sleeping with this person, that person. Seriously in Ghana, the age for consent is 16. So, such attacks on her personality are bad and disturbing. They are even dragging her husband into this. What kind of sense of entitlement is this?”

Vim Lady, however, urged Medikal and his supporters to show moderation in their public outbursts, noting that the entertainment industry is filled with both negative and positive aspects.
“I understand Medikal’s point that he achieved something positive and even BBC spoke about it so the Ghanaian media should also be positive about it. But if you take a close look at this, you’ll realize that MzGee was positive.
“Celebrities are aware that this job and the entire industry comes with a bit of negative happenings. Medikal and his fan base should exercise restraint. The Shatta Movement fanbase should also do the same. Certain things appear negative but are not exactly negative.”

“As someone who has practiced journalism for over 20 years, there is this saying that there is nothing like bad news. The media is not perfect and it’s not all our interviews that will be perfect. We won’t be able to ask all the right questions. You as the guest being interviewed can decide what to give your energy to.”

Ola Michael Replies Afia Schwarzenegger
Ola Michael denied allegations made by Afia Schwarzenegger accusing him of inappropriate conduct with female colleagues at his workplace.
Previously, Afia Schwarzenegger had attacked certain media figures for their unsolicited commentary on celebrities, naming Ola Michael as one of them.
To criticize MzGee for delving into Medikal’s personal life with Fella Makafui rather than his successful O2 Indigo concert in London, Afia also aimed at Ola Michael for his negative remarks about the event.
Afia, disturbed by Ola Michael’s focus on Medikal’s matters, did not hold back in her response.
She accused Ola Michael, in the same manner she criticized MzGee, claiming that the Neat FM Presenter is known for intimate encounters with his younger female staff members at their workplace.
Responding to these claims on his Neat FM program, Ola Michael expressed himself in disbelief.
“Isn’t it surprising that in an office full of cameras, you’d think I can sleep with anyone here? She saw something like that earlier and there were even pictures and videos of the people involved but she is still insinuating that I am the one. Every sensible individual knows that you’re not speaking the truth.”

Eager to confront Afia directly, Ola Michael expressed frustration that his superiors are preventing him from doing so.
“It’s the employees who are being targeted, not the employers. Yet, if you try to respond, the higher-ups accuse you of making them a target. Given the opportunity, I’d confront her with facts that would astonish her. I possess damaging information about her that would leave her astounded.”
