Damini Ogulu Ebunoluwa, also known as Burna Boy, has cleared the air on rumors that he is impotent and unable to father children.

The musician also stated that he plans to have children after he has achieved stability, emphasizing that his future children deserve a better life than he had.

The 32-year-old musician revealed that he values the love he receives from his mother, Bose Ogulu, and his father.

The singer made the revelation during an Instagram live session where he responded to fans’ questions.

“Why I haven’t had kids yet because I don’t want to have kids. Like have you seen my operation, have you seen my mom the way she loves me and my dad the way he loves me but I know I can’t give that to anyone right now with the life I live. When I am settled, then I can be there for my children every single day and every minute.

“That’s just me, I feel like my kids deserve more than I got and I got both my mom and dad. I see the bants people put out there but it is not important. Let’s even say it’s true, let’s say I can’t have kids, know that there are some things called IVF and other scientific methods. You feel me but that’s not even true.”

His statement triggered massive reactions online as social media users shared their thoughts online.

“You’re not getting any younger. You better get kids so you’ll see who you can pass on your legacy. Life is short.”

Burna Boy Credits Industry Veterans

Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Burna Boy, known for his hit songs like “Last Last” and “African Giant,” recently took to Instagram Live to express his gratitude for the impact of veteran Nigerian musicians on his career.

Burna Boy recounted a specific encounter with Timaya in 2012 or 2013, where witnessing the established artist’s success motivated him to strive for similar achievements. He also acknowledged D’banj’s generous support in financing the music video for his early hit “Wan Da Mo”.

“D’banj also supported me back then. These are two people I don’t joke with. It’s not like n*ggas don’t have respect, no, n*ggas have just been through a lot and we only remember the people we saw in the dark times.”

The singer further praised 2Baba for offering him a collaboration opportunity early in his career, a gesture Burna Boy considers a testament to 2Baba’s genuine support.

Larry Gaaga also received recognition for his unwavering commitment to artistic integrity, staying true to his sound instead of chasing trends.

“People like Larry Gaaga. He stood by me back then. So these are people I will respect for the rest of my life. The only OGs who have impacted my life. Number one, Timaya, because he is the one who showed me that achieving stardom was possible.”

He continued, expressing his unwavering respect for these artists.

Burna Boy clarified his definition of an “OG” (Original Gangster), emphasizing the impact these individuals had on him during his early struggles. He acknowledged the influence of other veterans on younger artists but maintained that his personal experience shapes his perspective.

Wande Coal was another artist Burna Boy acknowledged, mentioning a period of close friendship between them.
