Fella, Medikal Summoned by Nungua Stool Over Land Documents

Medikal and Fella Makafui

Prominent figures in Ghana’s entertainment scene, Fella Makafui, and Medikal, have been formally summoned by the Nungua Stool concerning their land documents, which recently surfaced on social media.

The Office of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, representing the Gadangme State, issued official invitations to both parties, requiring their presence at the palace for a document verification process. Rev. Dr. Gyasi Ankrah, Director of Administration at the Office of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, issued the summons.

Fella Makafui and Medikal were instructed to bring their complete documentation for scrutiny.

“The office of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, Overlord of the Gadangme state on behalf of the Nungua stool is inviting you to the palace of the Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse concerning a land document cited on social media which bears your name. You are requested to appear without fail on Friday, 24th May 2024 at 11 am at the palace located at Gborbu Koonaa, Nungua with your full documents for verification. Please treat this letter with all the respect it deserves. Thank you.”

Official statement

This development occurs amidst ongoing divorce proceedings between the couple. Fella Makafui and Medikal, once celebrated as one of Ghana’s most glamorous pairs, are now navigating a turbulent separation while still residing together and co-parenting their daughter, Island Frimpong.

Their living arrangement has sparked further disputes, with Medikal allegedly requesting Fella to remove her cousin from their shared residence.

In response, Fella sought the intervention of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to investigate Medikal, escalating their conflict.

The ownership of their residence has also become a focal point of contention. Medikal claims sole financial responsibility for the property but asserts that he included Fella’s name for their daughter’s benefit.

Fella contests this, citing her contributions during their marriage and vows to substantiate her position in court.

Amidst this discord, their land and house documents have surfaced on social media, prompting the intervention of the Nungua Stool to verify the authenticity of their claims.

Counselor Reacts To Medikal and Fella’s Marital Issues

Esteemed marriage counselor, Charlotte Oduro offered her insights into the marriage difficulties encountered by celebrities Fella Makafui and Medikal, drawing considerable public interest.

She opined that the couple airing their grievances publicly will not aid in resolving their issues and may even damage their public image.

“The Ghanaian community should be supportive. We shouldn’t let them air their disputes in the open. Everyone faces challenges at home. Now is the moment for those who profess their affection to intervene privately and manage the situation.

“It would be appalling if everyone aired their grievances. I implore them to amicably settle their differences, even if it leads to divorce. Allowing society to pass judgment won’t be beneficial, as everyone has their own domestic issues.”

These comments come in the wake of Medikal’s social media outburst against his wife, Fella Makafui, and an incident where he claimed she reported him to the police.

Medikal released a new song titled ‘My Story’ detailing the challenges arising from his divorce with his estranged wife, Fella Makafui.

Medikal speaks about his emotional state and the many controversies surrounding his marriage in the song.

He also hinted about the probable loss of some of his assets including his residence amidst the divorce proceeding.

The rapper pledged his faith in God indicating he only finds solace in him, asserting that he will remain resilient in his current situation with Jehovah’s strength.

“As I komot them dey put poison for my cup…person wey visit me for prison, take me go court,” he sings.

The above verse in Medikal’s song references his past event when he was arrested in 2021. The rapper reflects on how Fella worked assiduously to release him from prison back then.
