Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has sent a message to upcoming artists.

In a post on his Instagram page, he educated them that signing with the biggest label or artist in the world doesn’t guarantee their success.

“Dear Upcoming artist, I write this to you from the depth of my heart. I wish you would know that the Label of who is signing you has nothing to do with your success.

“So if you like to be signed by the biggest label/artiste in the world, there’s still no guarantee for success o. Labels/Big names will only aid what you already ‘CARRY’.”

Spyro

He explained that if one already carries a failure mentality that everything must be done for them, the label would only amplify them to be a massive failure and vice versa.

“Just so you know too, your talent without diligence and hard work will FAIL YOU. In fact, these days a talentless person with focus, diligence & hard work gets the bag. Stop building castles in the air waiting for labels/people and start investing in YOU.”

Spyro

The “Who Is Your Guy” singer admonished them to stop building castles in the air waiting for labels or people and start investing in themselves.

“In my case, LABELS failed me so I built mine from zero to what it is today and if I can do it, YES YOU CAN too … In fact while I was signed to my last label, I was there taking loans from people and the bank to fund projects. YES, you hear me talk about how GOD changed my life right?

“I didn’t tell you that he USED ME TO CHANGE MY LIFE FOR ME. All you see today is a result of years of hard work and planning …what if I tell you now that to date all you see outside from my releases, A&R, PR, STYLING, name it. I spearhead ball over sleepless nights.”

Spyro

He further advised upcoming artists to wake up because nothing will change for them until they start taking responsibility for themselves and their lives.

The upcoming singer opened up about his financial journey, revealing that he started the year with very little money in his account, less than 10,000 Naira.

However, he has achieved significant success since the beginning of the year, including buying cars and multiple houses for himself and his family.

Musician Reveals How His Serious Relationship Ended

Spyro shared a personal and emotional experience about his recent breakup with his Canadian partner.

In a candid Instagram post, Spyro revealed that the split was due to a misunderstanding over a friendly peck on the cheek from a female friend.

“Canada, I want to be honest today … The reason why I have pushed this tour this far is because I was still healing from a serious heartbreak from one of your girls there.”

“Quite painful as I saw a future with us. Already bought a ring and all of a sudden she ended it, and for what? Because a female friend pecked me after I bought her something she needed, and I wanted to be open, so I told her, and that led to a series of events that ended the relationship.”

Spyro

Spyro confessed that the experience left him resenting Canada and everything associated with it. However, he has since found healing thanks to a series of messages from his pastor.

He hinted at his plans to entertain his fans abroad and search for his missing rib at the event and advised all the ladies to dress attractive but decent.

“So you know, I am not just coming to tour o, I am coming to find beauty to my chaos so my Jesus baddies, as you are coming out to the venues, endeavor to dress sexxy but decent, I might just sight my missing rib from the crown and oh, I won’t be wearing shades on all performances in CANADA so I can see well … See you all from June 14th.”
