Sammy Gyamfi, National Communications Officer, NDC

Sammy Adu Gyamfi, National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has issued a public alert warning of potential fabricated stories in pro-NPP newspapers on Monday, May 27, 2020, regarding the ongoing Ato Forson case.

As such, he advises the public to be vigilant and discerning, carefully evaluating information to separate fact from fiction and resist the spread of disinformation and propaganda.

He pointed out that the stories are a desperate attempt to deflect attention from the damning evidence the NDC will present in the coming week, highlighting Godfred Dame’s unethical and criminal actions in the Ato Forson case.

NPP Accuses Pollster of Aiding NDC Propaganda

Furthermore, Sammy Gyamfi stated that the embattled Attorney General and his team are in a state of panic, desperately scrambling to mitigate the impending exposure of their wrongdoing by the NDC.

“As we speak, they are in a meeting with Editors of some pro-NPP Newspapers, desperately planning on how they can preempt and create diversions to water down the effect of the bombshell looming over Dame’s head”.

Sammy Adu Gyamfi

Accordingly, the NDC Communicator accused the NPP of engaging in a malicious propaganda effort, crafting and disseminating false narratives through NPP-friendly media outlets to make the NDC’s effort at disclosing the truth futile.

Moreover, Sammy Gyamfi warned that the NPP, in its desperation, will resort to deceitful tactics, attempting to distract, distort, and disseminate half-truths and outright falsehoods to obscure the truth and confuse the public.

As such appealed to the public to remain attentive and informed, as the NDC will be releasing explosive revelations and shedding light on the truth in the coming week.

He further revealed that the NDC’s upcoming exposé will uncover the shocking extent of the dishonorable Attorney General’s and the government’s ruthless tactics, exposing how far they will go to persecute political opponents for selfish political gain.

“Dame’s cup is full. His day of reckoning is finally here. No amount of machinations can exculpate him from liability in this matter”.

Meanwhile, Sammy Adu Gyamfi categorically stated that the Attorney General’s denial of engaging the 3rd defendant, Mr. Richard Jakpa, is a blatant falsehood. “These are the words of a liar”, he added.

“Nothing but sheer desperation. Drowning men always clutch onto straws and that is how desperate Godfred Dame has been reduced to trying to clutch onto straws. What he is saying is tantamount to a thief who is caught in Kejetia saying that, ‘Oh don’t crucify me because another thief stole at Adu’”.

Sammy Adu Gyamfi

Sammy Gyamfi pointed out that the Attorney General’s failure to object or appeal for the accusations against him to be struck out in court is telling, as any lawyer who believes the evidence or allegations against him or her are frivolous would promptly request the court to dismiss them.

As such, he suggested that the Attorney General’s inaction is a tacit admission of guilt, as his failure to contest or dismiss the accusations implies complicity and a lack of confidence in his own defense.

“He was in court and he could not do that. Like a coward you were shivering in your chair, totally shivering”. – Sammy Adu Gyamfi

Furthermore, Sammy Gyamfi alleged that the Attorney General’s silence was strategic, as he knew that speaking out would have exposed him to scrutiny from the 3rd defendant, Richard Jakpa, who would have revealed damning information about his involvement.

As such he pointed out that the Attorney General should have presented his counter-allegations in court, rather than through a press statement, as this would have carried more weight and been more credible, rather than resorting to a public relations maneuver.

Accordingly, Sammy Gyamfi accused the Attorney General of trying to politicize the Ato Forson case to divert attention from his own wrongdoing, cautioning the public to be vigilant against such tactics aimed at obscuring the truth and shielding his misconduct from scrutiny.
